If Antknee-Zoe-Jasmine-Ma Son is the big Christmas storyline, the writers have badly got this wrong. None of these characters are important enough (and none of the actors are strong enough) to hold an ‘Enders Christmas. Nobody really cares about them.

The stolen charity money is also a lame storyline. And wheeling out another bipolar episode for Jean is a bit lazy.

At least Max is back to shit stir and hopefully break a few hearts l…and Oscar is funny (Brian! Lol).

Why did he call him Brian?

I also didn’t understand that reference.

I thought it's because Oscar misheard Ian as Brian when they were first introduced, but now just keeps it up as a bit of friendly ribbing.
It makes me smile.

Oscar has called Ian "Brian" since he arrived. He misremebered his name, and has never called him Ian. It's been mentioned on this thread before

Kat has done the EE version of ‘ best Christmas ever’ today by trying to gee up the locals with that speech with Zoe! We know it won’t be.
I knew that Max would stay at the Peacocks.
What he does for work and money I’ve no idea. Maybe he’ll run the car lot again, especially now Jay has gone.
In fact , hardly any of them work do they and Lauren and Pet ahhh just leave their two children with anyone to camp out at the pub.
Vicki gets on my nerves moaning at Zoe about saying the babies were Dennis’s. She was out of order , but so was she paying off that young girl to keep Joel out of trouble! She is hardly a saint herself.
Why Zack likes her so much is a mystery really!

I do like Oscar too. I would hope that Jasmine would stay away now, but no.. we just know she’ll be back :(

She came back in today’s episode to see him in hospital but thankfully he told her to do one.

I think it's also because Ian is boring and Brian is a 'boring' name?

Oscar is the best thing about EastEnders.❤

I honestly can't decide who I dislike more - Zoe, Antnee or Vicki.
I think it has to be Angry Ant though.

I had to laugh at Max coming up with the Fireman Sam reference - do we need any more proof that we have spies on this thread 😆
And I see they're referring to "Baby" Abi as AJ now.
Eve looks lovely with her new 'do.

I winced at ‘ AJ’ as it makes her sound as if she is male.
Tanya is always ringing him up and he ignores her..
Maybe she’ll come back to find Linda and Max in bed surrounded by b and m gold peacock statues.
It makes me laugh that Jack n jack , Lauren and Oscar ( possibly more ?) know that Annie is his child , yet he doesn’t ! The loo roll / lockdown comment he made was funny , but Linda and him together isn’t good ( as it’s bound to happen maybe ?) or he’ll find out about Annie and it’ll blow up.

It was nice that Kat referenced Eve’s new hairdo.
I didn’t realize that Kim also cut hair ( maybe she has to work more now her influencer job has gone )
I thought she only did the nails.

Maybe Angry Ant will end up under the floorboards!
Or it’s jasmine’s twin brother doing all this and she knows about it. Hence the fruit and the note.

I was thinking who the hell is 'AJ?' Then I got confused thinking of Massod's brother, AJ. Surely most people would call the seven year old daughter of Abi 'Little Abi' or similar?!

They used to call Abi ‘ baby abi’.
Not sure where the J comes from.

Oscar has been the best bit about EE for ages.
This story with Angry Ant and Zoe etc isn’t ringing true and nobody cares. Jean and Kat have kept that going by being very good.

I assumed the J was for junior, Abi Junior. Awful nickname for a child whose mum has died

I think they've done it because they think they need to literally spell it out to us viewers, that we will be confused by them using the name Abi. It's ridiculous when they've written and produced everything else in a confusing way
