Was disappointed to see Jasmine is still there !
Surely she has other family to see over xmas. Preferably in Australia!

So Dr Evil has been regularly stalking Zoe and has recent photos of her in the square. He’s a very angry man. Yet again it’s daylight yet he has no doctoring to do and is downing whisky.

Zack is so nice. He needs a proper girlfriend like Chelsea. And so does Oscar (although not Chelsea!).

The fire was laughable, why did Zoe walk towards it! And it was a tiny teddy on fire, just smother it! 😆 It was Dr Evil who set the fire wasn’t it. I would love them to both die (along with Jasmine) but sadly that isn't going to happen. How have they managed to arrange Christmas around three deadwood characters.

Lol at Max bursting in after a minor incident with Oscar, when he couldn’t previously give a damn about all the other worse things that happened!

I think Jean is going to try to kill herself. Kat means well but she doesn't understand how bad she is feeling.

This whole Jasmine is Zoe’s daughter feels weird. It’s as if they had different plans for her when she was cast (linked to Cindy and the Beale’s) and then they have switched her whole storyline to Zoe and Anthony. None of it makes sense and the connection to Zoe has come out of nowhere

Can anyone remember if Jasmine appeared on the Square before or after Zoe came back/was shot?

This new boss guy has not had a great start to his time as the Executive Producer

@Starandflowers this is why I think the EE producers/writers have been having a nose on here.
They read our plot lines and thought oh yes! Jasmine being Zoe and Antnee's daughter makes sooo much more sense than any silly connection to Cindy and the Fords.

Zoe made her return in early summer I think.
We had all that malarkey with the secret phone calls and visits with Stacey and Alfie.
Then Tommy went to her flat/AirBnB and unfortunately brought her back to the square.
Jasmine appeared a few months ago

I thought it was obvious from day 1 that Jasmine was Antnee and Zoe's daughter. They showed the baby as mixed race and Antnee suddenly turned up for no good reason. Then a few weeks later suddenly a mixed race 19 year old turned up with a mysterious background.

Zoe was shot on 3rd Sept. Jasmine arrived on 22nd.

I'm desperate for this terrible story to end! And maybe it will be as there are no episode summaries from Boxing Day with those three unpleasant characters.

Hopefully Linda's new story that begins on January 7th (reuniting with one of her old school friends, played by Ronni Ancona) will be interesting.

But I just thought,that wouldn't be the situation, because it was to obvious,to neat .
You know what ..we could do a better job on this thread, than the writers are doing

If they knew Stacy was going on maternity leave ..it didn't make sense to get rid of Martin..I know ratings and all that ..but Martin would of held things together with lily..I suppose they used Martins death as the reason for Stacy' leaving and needing maternity leave ..if you know what I mean

Such a shame about jay as well ,I'm currently watching him on early episodes,he's just lost his dad ..and even then he's a great little actor.

@Anotherstressedmother I agree with you, the Jasmine connection was so obvious that it seemed like there must be more to it, the writing is just so bad at the moment!

What does Kat say at the end of that trailer ?
Ive listened to it a few times and does she say ‘ help me ?’

I had exactly the same problem trying to work out what she was saying, and I think it is "Help me" which makes me think something's happened to Zoe (Angry Ant related I reckon)

It sounded like help me didn’t it !
Maybe Kat hits angry Antnee with a frying pan or a fruit bowl !!
I noticed that the actor playing him is doing the Christmas strictly show this year.

Considering his a GP now in an actual surgery , Antnee spends more time everywhere else lately.
Drinking , up the hospital getting staff to play sleuth, the wine bar etc.
I bet real GPs wished they had such a cushy number.

Loved how Oscar spoke French today. I think the actor might have some French heritage, as his name is Pierre (Peter) with a French sounding surname too.

EE going all cultural with some French being spoken!

I think it was Jasmine that started the fire. Not Anthony.

Anthony is such a nasty piece of work lying to Kat that the babies both died. Just so he can have a clear path to find them himself 🙄

Agree with @Starandflowers the Jasmine storyline feels so disjointed. As soon as a 19 year old mixed race character appeared of course we were going to think it was Zoe's 19 year old mixed race child. But they spend months on a nonsense plot involving Cindy. Unless there's a M. Night Shyamalan twist coming up this is complete rubbish.

Are they addressing the fact that Jay won't be coming back?

Also a bit rich of Max to concerned about his son now.

Jasmine really is an unlikeable and annoying character. It's a toss up between her and Zoe for the worst character on screen in EE atm imho.

So him in the Christmas Strictly adds to the theory his character kills Zoe (or attacks her) and is leaving the show, but maybe he wants some extra money or is on a break.

All down to his 990 day duolingo streak!

I do love Oscar, he's a sweetie and very droll.
I just find him so endearing.

Imagine a two-hander between them! 😱

As much as I dislike Ian, I do like his interactions with Oscar, and i think they are getting the best lines from the writers. Today Ian said about Jasmine wanting the village idiot (Oscar) and Oscar replied "don't be jealous Brian"
