Max and Linda will be a good storyline for Xmas. Add Oscar and his energy for extra spice 💥

mumofoneAloneandwell · 29/11/2025 19:47

Yeah agree, max and Linda would be far more interesting than zoe's stalker 😭

I even judge the stalker for not picking a more interesting target

the80sweregreat · 29/11/2025 20:33

Linda is back from her round the world cruise then !
Max snd L , blimey ! Might be a toxic time ahead

made me laugh! 😂

Yes! Max and Linda! I’d love that. Especially if he stays long term and they end up running the Vic together after Kat and Alfie have to give it up for a reason I haven’t made up yet.

Shellingbynight · 30/11/2025 08:33

When Linda and Max were briefly together last time I didn't think it worked at all, they were both just there out of desperation, there was no chemistry. He is such a sleazeball.

I guess Max will take over the car lot from Invisible Jay.

Just saw a bit from Mondays on Instagram. To me it looks like Jean is heading for a manic episode. She is all over the place talking fast and Lily says she has been in the kitchen all night baking for Freddie’s leaving party. Lily cannot be left to cope with Jean and her baby

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2025 09:38

Stacey was selfish leaving her very young daughter and grandchild with unpredictable Jean. Jean already was heartbroken about Harvey and now this with Zoe is sending her even more over the edge:(
Agree with whoever mentioned the social services, but also Ricky and Jack n Jack have also left Lily to it.
Even trying to get some tutoring with Julie didn’t go well that time and Nigel was nasty to her because his social filter has gone due to his illness. So that had to end too. Lily is so vulnerable isn’t she and abandoned .

Shellingbynight · 30/11/2025 10:35

Poor Jean, Freddie leaving was always going to send her over the edge, what with everything else that happened in the past year. At least that's realistic, although miserable.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 30/11/2025 10:39

Agree re jean, her storyline is the most realistic, true to life

Poor lily, thats so much to cope with

OpalescentFruit · 30/11/2025 10:43

Absolutely typical that Ricky and Jack just don't figure here. It's all just dumped on Jean, who is least able to cope but is expected to because she's a woman. The blokes just sail around obliviously. Grrrr.

OpalescentFruit · 30/11/2025 10:52

The load on Lily is enormous. Ricky's input seems non existent despite living only yards away.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 30/11/2025 11:07

And lily only stayed so Ricky wouldn't be apart from the baby 🙄

Shellingbynight · 30/11/2025 11:22

That's a good point about Ricky and Jack.

It's really not fair on Lily at all. I bet Jean is not taking her meds.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 30/11/2025 11:22

Jean only really has Lily and Charlie to look after, it should be easy. The issue is ee need storylines, and a lot of staff have left or are on leave. Gillian is one of the better actors, she plays Jean well, and can be trusted to deliver. It is also believable that Jean would spiral under the circumstances, she's been through quite a bit recently. Theo's stalking, Harvey's affair , Martin dying, Stacey leaving, the scam storyline etc. Anyone would struggle with all of that going on

Southeastdweller · 30/11/2025 11:29

I know it’s a soap but I can’t get too invested in Jean’s story because in real life someone with her history and having virtually no money and support from others wouldn’t be allowed to look after her fifteen year old granddaughter and that granddaughter’s 2 year old. It just seems too incredible to me but perhaps I’m naive.

She would be allowed because any alternative would cost money which social services don't have. Far worse situations are allowed - parents or family members with addictiond, violence etc. Shouldn't be like this though.

Shellingbynight · 30/11/2025 11:38

Jean has loads of local family on the doorstep, Social Services aren't to know she has alienated her main support base due to her war with Zoe.

I can't remember what caused Jean's last crisis - when she went to Southend(?) and ended up in the sea in a wedding dress?

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2025 18:02

Marrying Harvey sent Jean over the edge in southend !( mind you, going to visit southend isn’t the that much fun anymore ! )
She was poorly though. Bless her

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2025 18:03

Agree that ‘ leaving Lily with Nan ‘ was because Nan is a woman ! It’s just how it is :(

OpalescentFruit · 30/11/2025 18:05

I'd love an episode where Jack and Ricky get a visit from social work telling them to buck up their ideas and pull their weight for once.

Yep! That would be good.

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2025 18:21

The way it’s going with Kalfie, they will probably run out of money running the pub! End up in debt to Stacey

Southeastdweller · 01/12/2025 09:39

Jean's the stalker - I'm surprised and surprised they haven't strung out the story for longer.
