Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

You're all forgetting how Ian used Janine when she was selling herself

I'd not forgot , thats why I posted , he's a chancer on stuff like that .

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 18:16

He was evil to Janine that time.
That was a toxic time.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 28/11/2025 18:22

The North remembers over here - he will always be squeal beale to me

Yeah he was bankrupt but Laura bailed him out of bankruptcy single handedly and he behaved like that! And with janine who he had watched grow up!!

Evil then, evil forever 🤷‍♀️

I would love for phil to give his head a flushing over christmas, just because 😄

In real life, if you stole charity money for your own ends would you get a sentence or a custodial one or a community service? Would the police see it as a civil matter and the charity have to sue her or take her to court?

It’s a criminal matter, prosecuted under either the Theft Act 1968 or the Fraud Act 2006. Someone in Lauren’s position who dishonestly stole funds raised for a charity would probably be prosecuted under the Theft Act as she is external to the charity and there is no question of embezzlement by someone in a position of trust. Max sentence 7 years imprisonment, but could be much less based on an assessment of the seriousness and impact of the offence. But dishonesty would have to be proved, and intention to permanently deprive the charity of the money. No doubt Lauren would say she did intend to make up the money intended for the charity, and only used the money earmarked for the charity because she had a short deadline. In other words, that she was (foolishly but honestly) “borrowing” the money from the charity fund. If she was believed on that point then a conviction could not follow. And if Ian had helped her to make up the money for the charity then it would never need to be a police matter at all.

Shellingbynight · 28/11/2025 18:35

I think after a lot of kerfuffle Ian will probably pay up. But first of all we have to have the drama of Pe Tah going mad, Lauren sobbing, Kathy saying she knew Lauren was a wrong un... etc etc. Probably while Ian is serving up the Christmas turkey. Ooh actually maybe Max will give her the money. Assuming he has any!

I wish they would stop putting Lauren in the wrong. She had been on a good path lately.

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 18:47

Highbury, thanks! Sorry to detail with real life situations, but I can imagine that embezzlement from such funds is sadly common! In Lauren’s case it wasn’t malicious, but she was incredibly naive and it’s still theft isn’t it :(

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 18:50

She has been happier lately , off the drink and drugs and generally settled. Jimmy being born blind was sad, but they seemed to have moved on a bit and a bit more positive about the future and how to help him moving forwards.
It all seemed too good , we know nobody can be ordinary and just getting on with it on EE!

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 18:57

Ian won’t keep this secret.
Lauren will do something to upset him or and he’ll blurt it out ( yes, over the Turkey and bread sauce)
Or the charity worker will show up Christmas Eve and have a bit of a showdown over it all.

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 19:00

Did Arther Fowler go to prison for stealing the charity money ? I know it was forty years ago .. lol

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 19:01

Arthur rather

Yes - the Christmas club funds. Google tells me his sentence was 28 days’ imprisonment.

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 19:05

28 days ! Not too bad I suppose, but still sad.

Alucard55 · 28/11/2025 22:21

Cindy and Ian back together?

mumofoneAloneandwell · 28/11/2025 22:25

Oo i hope not

A new love interest for Ian could be good though! 👀👀

OpalescentFruit · 29/11/2025 05:46

Ian and Eeelaine?

the80sweregreat · 29/11/2025 07:27

Elaine has an I and a A and I in its name already , so it’s meant to be! Lol

the80sweregreat · 29/11/2025 07:28

An N too

Shellingbynight · 29/11/2025 08:17

That would be as horrendous as Phil and Kim 😱😂

Southeastdweller · 29/11/2025 08:42

Thanks for posting that @Shellingbynight

I didn’t know the lumpectomy happens so quickly after the diagnosis and I’m pleasantly surprised!

They have leaked the entire storyline haven't they! It'll all be done and dusted in a few weeks as she's not back for long.

They are very leaky at the moment. We know a lot of what happens at Christmas and New Year already.

Southeastdweller · 29/11/2025 09:02

I think they have to leak things like this in case it upsets some people in similar situations.

Jake Wood was on the One Show yesterday!

Rubbing hands with excitement!!!🥳

Max and Oscar bound to be explosive.

Shellingbynight · 29/11/2025 15:52

Max is back on the 16th I think. I don't even like Max but it can't be worse than Zoe and her stalker.

It looks like Howie gets found out next week (I think you mentioned that earlier 80s).

the80sweregreat · 29/11/2025 19:36

Max and Oscar! Bring it on. They are quite alike, but I like Oscar, so don’t mess it up writers!
