Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I do fear that the engagement party for Kim and Howie next week will be a disaster ( only because I read a teaser in my trusty magazine!)
She deserves better, but I know she isn’t perfect and mouthy and now she is out of work !
loved her with Vincent.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/11/2025 10:04

Oohh is the engagement prompted by the parcel he stole ? Though it was a big parcel for a ring ....

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/11/2025 10:07

I have caught up with the week. Antnee is being beyond creepy and so needy . Urgh.
I do feel a teeny bit sorry for Lauren she was clutching at straws and unfortunately she bet the money on a lame duck .

gingercat02 · 28/11/2025 10:27

I love Kim, but Howie is hopeless. I'm still mourning Vincent ☹️
I was really disappointed in Tameka on celeb traitors because she wasn't as funny as Kim!

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 10:31

The Jean scam made sense. At least Kathy mentioned it to Lauren on Monday and should have rung alarm bells. Jean didn’t ask anyone first and totally fell for it.
The Lauren one not as much, she was warned off and Ian and Pet ah both told her it’s a scam. Lauren is young and tech savvy etc, yet she took a gamble on nothing , didn’t even ask if her and Jimmy could meet him first or go to her GP. She only asked Antnee after she had parted with 3k.
I am annoyed that Ian didn’t offer to loan her the cash and have her pay it back in installments and so on.
I’m sure that a man with two businesses ( chippy and pie are still his I think ) couldn’t provide for his poor grand child , even if he doesn’t like Lauren much for being caught out in a malicious scam.
His no angel himself ! Lol

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 10:34

Tameka comes across as quite serious in real life.
Kim is fun and we need that sometimes amongst the doom and gloom of others, but now Howie is a common thief and a let down , seems she’ll soon be as miserable as everyone else ( especially as she is now out of work too)

gingercat02 · 28/11/2025 10:57

I sort of get Lauren and the scam. If someone told me my blind baby could be helped, I would be sorely tempted.

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 11:18

Ginger , I do understand why she did it, but two close relatives warned her off, Kathy mentioned Jean’s one last year and they had received a few texts or emails when they were away, she had time to look into it more. Asking Antnee after the event was ironic, she should have gone to her own GP or a specialist first or at least asked to see this ‘Doctor’ first. That might have gave her more red flags.
However , she is where she is now and it needs to be paid back to St Lucy’s charity.
How can she do this without asking people for help ? She only works ( occasionally) in a car lot and Pet ah doesn’t have much spare. Maybe she’ll ask Oscar for help , but he’ll only be able to steal it ! Hopefully he’ll stay out of it. She will probably do something stupid or Ian will tell everyone Christmas Day round the table did the best Christmas ever .. Pet ah will leave her and Lauren may end up in Ian’s old wooly hat homeless and cashless!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/11/2025 11:21

Lauren stills blames herself for Jimmy being blind due to her drug abuse in pregnancy. Did they establish a genetic link with his medical condition? So she will try anything

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/11/2025 11:24

I can forsee the CarLot being torched for insurance ('cos that ended so well last time ) they can blame some random as no one seems to work there now .And no CCTV no doubt .

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 11:34

Yes. Maybe she’ll torch the car lot :(
Or start a car ‘ cut and shunt ‘ racket with someone ! Harry isn’t in a fit state to do it though and probably now unemployed and stealing from his mum next week for more drugs :(
Max must be returning soon for his ‘ fast forwards ‘ episode , maybe he’ll help her ? He had money for Zoe once , so not short of a bob or two.

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 11:36

Lauren will start a fire and Jasmine dies from smoke inhalation.. Might be a popular story but won’t solve the problem of the charity losing out on 3k.

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 11:48

I want Howie also sacked or prosecuted for stealing.
He wasn’t that subtle about it and the door may have a ring door bell and catch him out.

WinterBerry40 · 28/11/2025 12:19

I've grown up watching Eastenders and have watched ( I reckon the vast majority ) of episodes , but honestly who can't say that for the last few years it's been a shit show ?
I watch it because I'm sad to say its ingrained into my life and I like to watch ( and sit down ) at 7.30pm in the evening . But it's dire .I

What are the Eastender long termers opinion of it and do you continue to watch it because you always have inspite of it being rubbish or do you genuinely still enjoy it ?

mumofoneAloneandwell · 28/11/2025 12:22

Watched since birth, 34 years

Its shite. Too much focus on grabbing headlines and campness. Too much, 'oh lets squeeze in a scam headline so its done', rather than having authentic character experiences

What happened just to showing normal daily life?

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 12:49

Another one who has watched since the start.
I can remember when it was very miserable and people were turning off, times when it was far fetched and too many fires and big dramatic stories , but it kept people watching. Unfortunately the current storylines are dragging on a bit and seem a bit pointless and meandering along. I’ll stick with it. I love these threads and it can be entertaining at times and I like a few characters and Oscar is really good and funny !

OpalescentFruit · 28/11/2025 12:50

Bring back Den & Angie.High drama but authentic, proportionate and incredibly well observed.

OpalescentFruit · 28/11/2025 12:51

EE was good until the recent change of producer.

gingercat02 · 28/11/2025 13:13

Yep me too since it started. I half watch out of habit, and in the vain hope it will get better.

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 13:15

Angie was very much like people i remember living around where I grew up ( east London ) stylish and kind. Those two were well drawn I think , but lately characters change personality like the wind to fit in with the plots ( Anthony being a good example)
Its still good though , I do like to pick holes, but it is only a soap and it’s not real life.

Shellingbynight · 28/11/2025 13:39

80s I thought the same as you about Ian not offering to loan Lauren the money, but I changed my mind. She asked him to lend her the money, he said no it’s a scam. Then she got the money elsewhere. So in his position I’d leave her to dig her own way out of that hole.

I am not looking forward to Pe Tah finding out - I had enough of Outraged Self Righteous Pe Tah when Lauren did whatever it was that annoyed him last time.

@WinterBerry40 I’ve watched since it started. It has had great times and awful times. This year has been mainly awful. Especially the recent focus on Zoe and/or drugs, with storylines going round in circles for weeks on end. I’m just about hanging on but the Zoe storyline may finish me off!

mumofoneAloneandwell · 28/11/2025 13:43

What have been people's worst times for eastenders? 👀

Mine has been since Chris clenshaw arrived and it hasn't recovered imo

Maybe the baby swap storyline with Ronnie and kat?

Southeastdweller · 28/11/2025 13:52

After more than 40 years, I still generally enjoy it; there’s enough good stuff to keep me going, but I suspect it’s hey day has long gone. I like the shift to on demand viewing so I enjoy watching it in the morning four days a week alongside a cuppa! I can’t see me ever giving up like I did with Corrie.

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 13:58

Yes. I can see why Ian didn’t offer to help her and even though he has two businesses, I’m sure he is finding it tough keeping going ( especially as hardly anyone goes in his food emporiums anymore )
However, as a Nan myself, I would have offered a loan, if only for Jimmys sake. Ian has done many dishy things , pretending they Lucy had cancer in order to get Mel to marry him for starters ( amongst other things) but I guess it’s his money, his choice to keep this secret ( until Christmas Day I bet lol)

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2025 13:59

NOT dishy ! Fishy ! lol
