I don't usually go in for 'Strictly is a fix' stories, but I just felt this one was so off. They made such a big deal about how LV JUST had to fix that tiny heel lead. Harry's dance was more complex and he didn't make mistakes as such, just lacked a bit of leg/foot action. The whole thing stank to high heaven.

No. That's been said over and over so I made a point of watching it closely. Lv's heel turns significantly improved and he showed more musicality. I very much liked Harry - in fact I like all of them - but he was very heavy and it was overall less pleasing.
Sometimes we don't get the results we like for our favourites. I think Jimmy left too early. However, I keep seeing these conspiracy theories on every Strictly thread this year, specifically about LaVoix.

Not forgetting all the stuff last Saturday from Shirley and Motsi about "We need you at Blackpool". It wasn't even subtle. I've nothing particular against La Voix but the partnership has run out of steam in my opinion.

It’s no conspiracy theory to suggest that producers “have a word” with judges. It’s more prolific in the US version I understand but it definitely happens here

Motsi needed to shut up, blapping on about how 'we need the rainbow' as if Craig – Craig, FFS! – didn't want to see camp, showbizzy dances.
I loved LV's routine for its pizzazz and its spirit, but agreed with Craig that the footwork was heavy and flat and underneath the glitz the steps themselves were basic. He scored it accurately IMO.

I've been joining in for ages, and it's genuinely been such a lovely chat to join in. However, so many seem so down on Chris, to the extent of believing these stories that I think the time has come for me to leave you all to it.

I'm not 'down on Chris'; he seems like a nice guy and as LV he's funny and quick-witted. He's turned in some good routines. He and Aljaz are great fun to watch.
I just think there's blatant favouritism/a production agenda.

It’s known that Len was told to tone down his critique for US audiences. Of course producers have a vision of how they want things to pan out and they clearly wanted Angela Rippon for Blackpool and now La Voix. Of course La Voix is now on a bye so it’s a moot point anyway

He's not a good dancer, he hasn't improved, and he adopts womanface for his act, which makes me very angry. I'm also sick of people referring to him as "she". That includes the judges. It really maddens me to listen to them referring to La Voix as "she".

He doesn't turn into a woman just because he thinks his vile disguise, the clothes, the shoes, the make up and hair, all make him female.

I know this is a light entertainment thread but I'm not going to disregard women's rights when those rights ought to be upheld.

I am the most naive, face value person ever. I’m the one that takes years to realise it’s all filmed on the same day, that live isn’t live etc. years.

And I can see that Angela what’s her face and LeVoix were positioned to go to Blackpool.

However, I came on this morning about the headline about a strictly star being arrested. But it isn’t in my usual news so wondered if anyone had seen anything?

The BBC (a usually reliable source) is reporting that a Strictly star not from this current series has been arrested on suspicion of rape. Let’s not guess.

It was on Bbc breakfast a strictly "star" was arrested in October and released it as it is an ongoing investigation it was so vague, it apparently at an event not related to strictly, so i guess they are saying it wasn't at the studios or on tour,

Another man was also arrested but again vague

Yes, I read the story in a few places when I looked at online news first thing. They’re saying one arrest a few months ago and another very recent. Didn’t focus on the details… it’ll be all over everywhere soon enough. Just what strictly needs now, more scandal.

im always a bit hmm when they say "strictly star"
quite often it just means someone who was in it years ago for a couple of weeks.
