This has crept up on me and no mistake! It starts tomorrow with Grace Dent in situ as new host with soon-to-depart JT. I haven’t heard of any of the slebs so that’s a great start.

Thanks, they have already sucked their teeth at the size of my pipes ( ooh matron), so I had to put having a combi boiler out of the running, but I think if they were good enough for the current boiler they will be good enough for the new boiler. But you know what it is like, these things never go as well as you hope.😕

I'm all caught up now, not a bad first lot of slebs to be fair, they were all good.

I'm liking Katie and Anthony so far.

Grace is doing a good job so far, she doesn't seem as fidgety or twitchy or something as she does when she's on as a guest, might be just me thinking that though.

Because this week's were good I'm not holding out much for the next lot as it seems to go that way and it can mean that someone who's not so great goes through but someone from the week before who was quite good has gone home 🤷

Totally ruined by having Grace Dent on it. I can't see why anyone likes her. Totally inauthentic, trying to be "posh" when she clearly isn't.

She's made it unwatchable for me. Glad Gregg has gone, but of all the people they could have asked ...

I've never heard someone called 'inauthentic' for trying to be posh. Normally people like Tony Blair with his glottal stops are called inauthentic.

I think that is a really unpleasant comment on Grace. She was raised in working class Cumbria (and she has a Cumbria accent , very clearly), went to university in Stirling and has lived in London for most of the last 30 years. Her accent is a clear hybrid of those experiences. She often talks and writes about how much she likes quite ordinary comfort food - so I hardly think she thinks she is refined.

I like Grace. I don't think she is trying to be posh, in fact she reminds me a bit of the working class women of my mother's era who would always be a bit dressed up, always have their 'face on,' and always have somewhat of a 'phone voice' for dealing with other people.

I have been catching up on this show.

Grace appears to be a strong character and knows how to style herself.

No matter who judges, it is the contestants that I'm always looking forward to seeing, I love the cooking challenges.

I loved Anna Haugh when she was in the final episodes of Masterchef.
