Caroline Flack documentary

Is anyone watching the new Caroline Flack documentary on Disney plus.

Her mother is trying to stand up for her. Its very sad. And interesting . Her mother looked up a lot of information about the assualt case.

It was a night where both of them were very drunk. Caroline found texts from another woman on her partner's phone. She hit him with the phone on his head to wake him up. She shouldn't have done that.

I am just recounting the facts of what happened

Caroline's partner threatened to ring the police. He rang the police and said he wasn't sure what he had been hit with, maybe a lamp or something. (He later agreed that it was a phone).

After he rang the police, Caroline was so distraught that she cut her wrists.

Her mother said that media reported that the room looked like a horror movie. But they made it seem like the blood was her partners. The blood was Carolines.

Her partner was not injured. And he did not want to press charges.

In the documentary it shows that the police initiallly decided not to press charges on Caroline.
Due to
Her having no previous history of violence
Her partner was not injured
Her partner did not want to press charges.

They decided to give Caroline a caution.

However a Detective came on duty later that night and decided to overturn the decision. She decided to charge Caroline with assault.

The documentary also shows notes the police made. They refer a lot to Caroline as a celebrity and a high profile case. Her mother thinks Caroline was charged unfairly as the police had attention on them over this case.

It then shows Carolines texts to friends . She writes "I have lost it all. I don't see any way out".

Its very sad. Has anyone watched it

Yeah like the police have never been corrupt before......

Honestly, you are looking for something that isn’t there, stop believing everything you watched on a programme based on her mums viewpoint.

It was investigated and nothing was found to be wrong with the pressing charges.

As far as I can see in this case, they were called, they attended, found him with an injury which she admitted causing and then arrested and charged her. All sounds quite straightforward and exactly what you’d expect of the police in this situation. Im not seeing the corruption.

The corruption is here

The initial decision was overturned and they decided to prosecute solely due to this reason:

Caroline did not admit guilt.

Yet in the original police notes, it says that Caroline admitted guilt 12 times

Also in police notes of the case, the police wrote multiple times about her being a celebrity and about it being a high profile case

Yet Later on they said that someone being a celebrity has no effect on how they are charged.

I’ll be the one to say it.

She hit her partner, that was wrong, and to escape being found out she slit her wrists.

If a woman posted on here that her partner had hit her over the head to wake her up, she called the police, and then he slit his wrists, everyone would call it out for what it was. Emotional and physical abuse.

I watched it and thought it was really sad, I think the original response from CPS to issue a caution rather than a charge was correct. The boyfriend didn’t want charges brought against her and she caused a scratch on his head, he required no medical treatment and she had no history of violent or abusive behaviour. The police took her from the scene of the fight to hospital because she had cut her own wrists open. For the media to print the picture of her bedroom covered in blood and suggest it was his blood caused by the beating Caroline Flack had given him was criminal.
I have been the victim of a very serious violent crime that I didn’t get justice for because the Met Police were disgustingly misogynistic and just damn well crap at there job I’m afraid Caroline’s mum is wasting her energy in wanting them to admit they got it wrong.

I’m out you are not listening and want to defend someone who behaved very badly, what she did was inexcusable. Yes we can feel for her mum but she’s dragged it all back up when she didn’t need to

Allegedly.

She saw texts she didn’t like. So she hit him, and when he called the police, she slit her wrists.

You cannot dress it up any other way. You can say what you like about her mental state at the time, but that does not excuse physical abuse.

That’s not corruption, it’s very normal. Being a celebrity would not affect the charges but it would need to be noted as a case of public interest. What would have been corrupt is if they had turned up and said oh wait, this is Caroline Flack, the famous celebrity, let’s not arrest her in case her feelings are hurt. And then the following weekend she has another tantrum and hits him in the head with something else and potentially kills him…

Why would I need to "listen" to you.
I have my opinion. You have yours. Its ok to have differing opinions.

Because you’re defending the indefensible and saying the police behaved corruptly and one Detective changed the caution, despite others, with knowledge in the area telling you that is wrong.
Anyway carry on defending her.

She could have admitted it at the time and then gone no comment in interview or a million other similar scenarios. We won’t be allowed to know the ins and outs.

The CPS makes charging decisions based on the evidence available and the public interest. Not whether or not someone admitted guilt.

Finto1111 · 13/11/2025 19:06

She hit him. That was bad

I still have empathy for her. Both are allowed.

Her voice notes were very sad in that documentary. She was spiralling into despair

Bullshit.

They literally wrote those exact words in their Report.

That they decided to charge her because she didn't admit guilt.

HearMeOutt · 13/11/2025 19:08

Op, there was no corruption. The IOPC investigated and found nothing.

The fact it was a high profile case would’ve been noted as I imagine they require extra preparation - such as briefing a press office if they have one, ensuring the court is aware of the need for capacity if journalists are in attendance, notifying them that the defendant may need security so as not to be ambushed inside the building, things like that perhaps. It’s in nobody’s interest for likely press interest not to be noted and then not anticipate the scrum on the day.

You keep flinging around accusations of corruption using perfectly explainable points as your ‘evidence’.

It is incorrect.

The CPS report says : we decided to charge Caroline because she didnt admit guilt.

That poster (armchair detective) said , they don't charge people depending on if they admit guilt or not.

Some posters would look at the sky and say it's red.

She was supposedly violent to other boyfriends. Her poor boyfriend is still paying for Caroline's mental health issues
Maybe her mother should address that
