Anyone watching? I couldn’t see another thread - apols if I missed one. As usual, I haven’t heard of several of the 'celebs'.

I’d like them to win too. I dislike the way they have been called ‘wet’ on this thread. They are just gentle people, not as extrovert as some of the others. Jackie clearly has a core of steel though to have gone through what she has.

I was interested in hearing Roman’s story. It shows that even someone blessed with good lucks, money and charm can find themselves in desperate mental health straits.

I'm sure they are not unpleasant, and are gentle and nice people. But they are both utterly lacking in nouse or resourcefulness. They appear utterly bemused by the whole experience, can't get their heads around planning ahead or - you know - speaking to people and asking for help.

The other couples have approached people in the street, asked people on buses, got their host families to give advice and help with planning routes. Jacie and Dylan just smile sweetly, look lost and confused.

Jackie and Dylan are lovely , but maybe they thought this would be easier than it is? They are going through some rough sounding countries , you need your wits and yes, ask people ! I’m surprised how many can understand English ( I’ve never been to any of these places , so also naive )

Jackie and Dylan would maybe have been better off on the Canada one?

I remember being approached at every bus station, and while some people would no doubt be scammers most just wanted to help and show where to get the bus, found people in Central America to be really friendly and helpful and lots wanted to practice their English with you.

Are Jackie and Dylan the only team to have no knowledge of Spanish? Most of the others seem to have at least one team member who can at least understand the basics (and Roman seems pretty competent, which I think is a real advantage for them).

I speak pretty good Spanish. Roman's is OK. Tyler is not afraid to have a bash at trying and neither is Anita.

After 3 weeks or whatever you'd think you'd pick up the basics of "excuse me" "where is the bus for..." or "how much is..." Neither Dylan nor Jackie seem able to do that though, totally gumption-less.

I thought that was an interesting leg. I've never seen some those places before, and some of the scenery was spectacular. The indigenous people on the Guna coast were just delightful, and Oreo was such a cute little pig!
I like all the couples, but I really like Tyler and Molly.

Molly played the same character in Eastenders, sweet and kind and jusy happy.
She seems lovely. They have been a good bunch and I’ve always liked Roman kemp and now a fan of his sister too.

I think she's from the "always play myself" school of acting. She does come across well, though.

Sorry that Dylan and Jackie are out but I would be racing till I had run totally out of money not 1p left not £100 left. The production crew would leave you stranded not able to get a flight home

I guess they'd have run out of money…

I wish they had gone on

I think they were too nervous about running out of money they're definitely not risk takers think it would stress me out a bit too

Shame they left but I’d rather see the others racing than them counting the pennies
