The Darien Gap sounds so exciting. Anyone remember those Levison Wood travel programmes? He crossed the Darien Gap once - sounded so dangerous and cool - shallow.

I don’t remember that, but now I’m thinking about it I do recall various other crew members in other series with other explorer-types who got very ill/were injured (I think there was one with Simon Reeve)

It is too much. That's what spoiled the non celebrity one for me last time. It became too focused on their back stories and relationships rather than the journey.
