I’m not sure I would trust the logistics of you pay £155 and that’s it for a car and then a fisherman takes you island hopping to the border. There’s a lot of room for something to go wrong and corruption and someone wanting extra money

normally for the last leg it’s pretty close between all the teams. Whereas this time there’s at least a night between 2 teams

I found Roman’s story really touching, I was in bits watching it, but I usually do prefer watching the travelling and racing through bus and train stations. I don’t feel as though we have seen enough of the home and work stays. It feels quite rushed this series.

Catching up as was out. I flew from Panama to Ecuador skipping Columbia as it was unsafe at the time. This is a crazy route they are doing.

This series is a strange one for me - content wise it doesn't feel like we get a full, meaty episode in the same way we have previously (both celeb and non-celeb).

I rewatched the last Celeb version recently with Kelly Brook / Scott Mills etc and they felt much more satisfying to watch. More discussion about budgets, more focused on the journeys too perhaps. I absolutely adore the premise of RATW but dare I say perhaps it is getting stale now they have to repeat routes?

Also they seem to have completely abandoned the principle of seeing all teams arriving at checkpoint! It used to spill over into the next episode sometimes but not even that now.

I think they had to put in a lot of filler with that episode due to the limitations on their travel. Poor Jackie. To lose your husband like that when you are just about to have a baby is shocking.

Mind you, didn't one of his crew die during filming one series? It was randomly in the middle of the series (still talking about Levison Wood).

It was during his Walking the Nile series. His name was Matt Power I think and he was a journalist doing a story on the expedition. He got heatstroke and help sadly arrived too late.

I think the researchers probably put a ceiling on that. I’ve enjoyed this, I like them all, the back story with Dylan and Jane…god, how did she keep on going? The scenery is amazing. Roman was amazing on the island with the family. But I think there’s an even greater story of how this even got through the risk assessment!

Jackie and Dylan do have a sad backstory but jeez louise, they are fecking useless. They don't even know what country they are in half the time.

Would prefer to see Roman and Harley, or Molly and Tyler win.

The Darien Gap sounds so exciting. Anyone remember those Levison Wood travel programmes? He crossed the Darien Gap once - sounded so dangerous and cool - shallow.

its literally one of the most dangerous places on earth! It’s crazy to think that there is not a single safe land route from Central to South America. Those poor people (including children) who try to cross it on the way to the US for asylum.

I’m still really enjoying this series and love all the couples. I’m going to pay more attention to Roman Kemp in his professional life, I think. I’m so impressed with his resilience and his honesty. He was just wonderful with the family on the islands. A thoroughly lovely lovely man (and those EYES!)

I’m hoping Molly and Tyler win - I think they are a fantastic example of a young showbiz couple who aren’t arseholes to each other and seem genuine.

Roman and Harley 2nd place would be good. They are both such different characters yet seemed to have come together on this. I love Harley - she is very pragmatic

Roman made a programme around his struggles with his mental health a few years ago. It was very good.
So sad that he has everything going for him, yet felt the need to want to do this. Luckily he was helped , but many are not .
Harley comes across very well, much less fragile than her brother. They make a good team on this.

I know everyone is saying how useless Dylan and Jackie are but I want them to win..out of all the teams I would miss them the most.
Anita and bal the least, although I wanted them to win at first.
