A mother living through parents worst nightmare in this new eight part mystery thriller.

The tale begins when Marissa arrived at the home of her new friend Jenny, to pick up her son Milo following a play date.

However, she’s horrified when the door is answered by a stranger who tells her that Milo has never been at her house and she has no idea who he is.

Marissa is a working woman and a wife trying to balance it all but when she arrived at the house she finds it’s the wrong address and the phone number she used to arrange a play date if now not working.

Marissa had only just met the new friend Jenny, she thought was picking Milo up so she received a text claiming it to be from her and she thought it’s genuine

however Jennie the friend denies sending any text.

The blame keep shifting throughout the whole series and keeps everyone on their toes of who fault it is.

@mondaytosundayI thought that too. And when the Jenny was being ‘told off’ by her husband for not checking the Nannie’s references properly. I thought the point was being made pretty clearly for Jenny and Marissa and their husbands who appeared to be quite happy to let their wives work long hours and take ALL the responsibility for childcare. Jenny’s husband in particular who appears to finish work at 4, three hours before his wife, but still doesn’t appear to be able to look after his son.
After episode 2 I’m not sure what to make of Peter, who appears to be happy to take financial responsibility for his siblings whilst taking very little responsibility for his son/ finding ways to make domestic life easier for Marissa.

Seen it all. Won't do any spoilers. It was filmed mostly in Melbourne Australia ( I guess that's why all the pools) and Sarah Snook is Australian - she is fantastic and also the woman who plays Milo's nanny is Australian too. I did not pick that at all. I thought the weakest actor was whoever plays Peter. Great show though.

I’ve watched 2 episodes. I can’t believe Sarah Snook is only 37, almost 38.
I thought she was in her mid 40s (I
haven’t watched Succession) and an older mother in the show. I thought her husband in the show was a younger man. He’s not. 😮
The house is gorgeous.
Can someone explain how Jenny just turned up when Marissa was having a wee “turn” when she, her husband, bil and sil were sitting in a foyer somewhere. Where was that ?

Yes they do. Summers are short but a lot of homes have pools, a number of downtown residential buildings have them too despite the gorgeous beaches along the lakefront. A lot of the “city” scenes were shot in Chicago, like Jenny walking along the river and in Grant Park, parts of the marathon, and driving into the city. The rest was shot in Australia, I may be mistaken but I think I read something that Sarah Snook wanted it shot there because it’s her home & she had recently given birth?

I am. I’m struggling a bit with it, but I’m going to keep going until the end, to see what they do with it. I did think the body in the lake would be the nanny (whatever her real name is). What is going on with Marissa’s husband? Why is he so controlling of his family? How cruel about his brothers operation.

Argh- sorry Blondes. I didn’t realise that my Sky box automatically downloaded the next episode after I watched the previous episode (I’ve been recording it so thought I was watching it ‘live’, I didn’t realise it had downloaded as well). So I’ve watched episode 5 and I thought it was episode 4. Hold fire before watching episode 6. I’d missed a week and caught up a bit too far! 🤦🏼‍♀️
