Surely only a be-aproned Kev can save us from the drug fiends? Die valiantly and all that. On Christmas Day.

I keep expecting them all to start singing 'you've got to pick a pocket or two'

Well you never know. Dylan does have a passing resemblance to Jack Wilde who played the Artful Dodger in the 1960’s movie.

Is that guy small or far away?

He had his phone in the beginning why did t he text or put his location on

Thanksforyourlackofthought · 10/11/2025 23:50

I’m travelling all week for work and not getting to
my hotels each night in time. Can’t decide if I should scroll through all the comments and get the heads up or save it all for a binge watch when I get home at the end of the week.

Because he has had a breakdown, left after a massive row with Paddy and Ray took his phone off him straight away.

PrincessScarlett · 11/11/2025 07:00

I'm actually praying for a whole episode of Kev tonight just to lighten the mood. And he's a bloody psycho!

xSideshowAuntSallyXx · 11/11/2025 07:34

Bear's story is very real, but quite frankly do we really want to watch that at 7.30pm?

Will they do the aftermath justice? Or will it be another John fiasco where Ray and Celia just disappear? And Paddy flapping and blaming himself?

Change2banon · 11/11/2025 07:47

I get that Bear seemed to be on the verge of a breakdown, but ending up in Ray’s clutches is just ludicrous! He would have needed medication for the breakdown - you don’t just break down, forget who you are and function through into the grasps of Ray like that 😵‍💫😵‍💫 Come on Emmerdale 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Pabbel · 11/11/2025 08:10

Come on Emmerdale, could you finish one story at least, instead of dragging this dirge of tv on and bloody on.

I think I’d have a binge. It’s not pleasant though.

Cocolist · 11/11/2025 08:35

Absolutely dire; need new writers, wrong place and time for the cruelty and bullying that is shown on Emmerdale before the watershed. I have given up watching and head for lighter fayre such as M. A. S. H. Yes, emergency surgery in a war-zone done with humour.

ilovebrie8 · 11/11/2025 08:52

Well that was utterly grim...as others said why didn't the group of them jump on Ray and escape he was 1 against a few...

Too far fetched that he fell in to Ray's clutches when he was sleeping in his car. So they are drug dealers, pimps, modern slavery all rolled in to one....

Jitterybugs2 · 11/11/2025 09:19

If only Anya had confided in Ruby when she was warm and safe. I suppose when the story unfolds Ruby will blame Caleb for sending her away only to be spotted by Ray and recaptured. He has an amazing knack of being in the right place at every opportunity. Bear was camping in his car near enough Emmerdale for Ray to find him but not another villager noticed him.

JewelleryCat · 11/11/2025 09:21

It would have probably been better to show Ray coming across Bear in his car rather than just turning up with him at the farm

There’s no Thursday episode so you’ll just have four to catch up on

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 11/11/2025 11:07

They’ve lost the plot literally

RaraRachael · 11/11/2025 11:38

There hasn't been a remotely funny or lighthearted story for ages.

I really don't know why the writers think we want to watch this endless misery.

LlamaNoDrama · 11/11/2025 12:48

Interestingly I read a news story about a local town to me having a few shops raided and what looks like modern slave Labour going on this morning. You just never know. We live in a rural county.

JaneJeffer · 11/11/2025 13:05

These stories are less about raising awareness and more about trying to win awards.

Speaking of awards why didn’t they put Lawrence Robb up for an award?

PrincessScarlett · 11/11/2025 13:36

I wonder whether Caleb or Ruby will spot Anya when they are visiting Moira and Cain? That was quite sickening when Moira waved at Celia as the slaves were working.

It does go on, we had a car wash near me raided for modern slavery. Doesn't mean I wanted to sit down at 7.30pm and watch one of the show's nicer characters be treated that way. I watch the news for this sort of stuff not an early evening soap.

Middlemarch123 · 11/11/2025 18:39

Tomorrow’s episode focuses on Robert. Thank goodness. I totally agree that if we wanted this kind of stuff we could watch the news, real life documentaries. Soaps are supposed to be a reflection of real life, based around community. In the last year Emmerdale has covered: Belle, Tom, dv and stalking; April having a stillborn baby, homelessness, poverty, being groomed and abused and forced to deal drugs then being pimped. Ruby being abused by her dad and the aftermath. John on a killing spree after causing untold pain and suffering. Gabby’s husband being subjected to a gratuitous homophobic attack which was brutal. Now Bear and slavery. It’s not what a soap should cover. No show on at 7.30 should come with as many warnings as this “family entertainment soap “ does.

xSideshowAuntSallyXx · 11/11/2025 19:02

I finally got round to watching the rest, found it really disturbing. Had to watch A Place in the Sun for some light entertainment.

On Facebook people are saying how laughable it was though.
