Just rewatched as one of the family hadn’t seen it. I hadn’t paid much attention to the tower chat before but I predict that Alan will get called out for his giggling and Cat is going to throw him under the bus, basing this on the massive close up of the pinky promise.

Did Alan not completely blow his cover when he could not say I'm a Faithful without giggling?

In a normal group yes but this lot are very bad at this!

MrsLeonFarrell · 31/10/2025 20:45

I wonder what the reaction to this series would have been if the players weren't celebrities. It's the fun of seeing Stephen Fry with his head in a well or Charlotte Church digging whole heartedly in her own grave that had made it entertaining. As players they are spectacularly bad.

Wolbutter · 31/10/2025 20:49

I've been a huge fan of Marina Hyde for years but her saying how much she likes Joe M has been a big disappointment to me! I know what she means about sports people, but I love sport and still think he's a bit of a bully.

TitsInAbsentia · 31/10/2025 21:12

Naughty people posting on here when there's plenty of space on the old thread! I can't follow two at once 😅

Does anyone know why the final was moved as it was supposed to be tonight?

Never been a JR fan but so entertaining to watch in this. Since his dramatic exit it has felt a bit flat to me.

Same. It has been a cracker of a series. But looks like it will end with a fizzer. Was so hoping the Traitors (well, Allan at this point) would win.

well, I’m with Marina… I don’t think he’s a bully at all. He’s just playing the game enthusiastically and trying to find traitors, rather than wafting around telling everyone how marvellous they are.

I loathe sport, particularly rugby, and I think Joe Marler is nothing like a ‘bully’, is perfectly nice, getting properly into the game, and giving good TV. Also his giant head fascinates me.

bluevalley · 01/11/2025 01:13

He has an aggressive energy, compared to the rest of the cast. Even Alan remarked on the way he aggressively stares people down. I don't like it.

Sharing from Nick’s Insta

Isn't that a bit of a spoiler though? I thought they were not contractually allowed to do that. Perhaps a red herring?

Oh sorry I saw this and just assumed it was the latest as I’ve been really busy this week!

Not a spoiler. It's just their portraits together?

Sandyshandy · 01/11/2025 07:53

I did like Joe, but I think there is a bit of an edge to him, especially in how he views women.

CaveMum · 01/11/2025 11:43

Mark and Kate currently on Radio 2 talking about their experiences.

I don’t believe it’s a spoiler, and certainly wasn’t the intention behind my posting. It appeared a few days ago and, to me, is just an expression of the two of them teaming up to hunt the Traitors.

It is quite clear that it will be Nick/Joe against Cat/Alan and working out the tactics and how to get David to vote the way each side wants will be the showdown and David is unpredictable so not sure where he will fall

Im not that keen on him (not known him before as not a sports fan) but hes been a good team member. Very vulnerable in the heads game. Coped well with the pressure but definitely needed the support from the others. And he was competent on the bridge.

Compared to non-celebrity players in other seasons, he’s not remotely aggressive!

I’m rewatching the UK season with Amanda, Wilf and Alyssa as the original traitors, and both John the spa therapist (frequent raised-voice monologues, rising out of chair, hand held up to silence specific other people he doesn’t like) and even more so, Hannah the big, blonde comedian, are spectacularly aggressive as a regular thing.

Hannah in particular has an incredibly confrontational manner, regularly shouts either at individuals or in a general way (I’m FUCKING SICK OF THIS! Just vote me out! I’m not having this!’) and her whole demeanour down to her posture and expression is menacing. It’s pretty clear, rewatching, that people aren’t bringing up her name at round tables (despite some suspecting her) because they don’t want to invite her fury.

I’m unusually sensitively attuned to male aggression (for the usual sad childhood reasons), but I don’t get a problematic vibe at all from Joe.

I think Alan doesn’t his scrutiny because JM isn’t one to be deflected with humour, the way Celia was when she asked him outright if he was a traitor. Alan will make a joke, but Joe just keeps looking at him.

Yes, that’s fairly clearly where it will go. Unless there’s some unforeseen twist they parachute in.

In the heads / lasers game he was snapping at everyone to shut up when they were just trying to give him words of encouragement. Very unpleasant.

I think that was within the norms of a normal average reaction though to the stress of that task I think quite a few would act in the same way 5 different people telling you things can be a hindrance rather than a help!

thankgoditssaturday · 01/11/2025 13:47

Jo deserves to win as he’s been the most accurate about the Traitors.

Pinkbox · 01/11/2025 13:49

I am torn between who I want to win, as for me all the remaining players have done well to get this far in their roles. So I will be happy however it plays out.

xsquared · 01/11/2025 14:01

I don't mind who wins as long as it's not David!
Has he done any diary video segments at all?
