I agree about Norma, she's completely horrible and unreasonable about Erica, but she isn't wrong about Eve as a parent. And that's without even knowing about Suki's terrible parenting skills!

If Norma finds out that Nish was behind her attack .. gosh !
I wonder why they don’t want to foster instead of adoption ?

Can someone please remind me why Norma was beaten up by Nish's contacts, what was the motive?

I'm still surprised they've passed all the checks for adoption tbh.

Just watched the remake of ‘ Rosemary’s baby’ with Jason Isaacs. That featured weird goings on and a cat., maybe Zoe gave birth to the devil’s child? She will find him and wished she hadn’t done ! lol.
We just need Aunt Babe to appear and it could go all horror mode. The Vic is cursed after all isn’t it ( not surprisingly)

Because he wanted to hurt Eve for getting together with Suki, I think.

I would love it if Aunt Babe came back. Didn't she curse the vic on her way out?

Nish wanted to break up Eve and Suki. Eve was on to him ( I think ) so he sent his heavies up north to mug her. It’s a bit vague, but at the time he just phoned someone up without any details of addresses or what she even looked like and the next day Eve is hot footing up to see her.

I've been rewatching old episodes of A Touch of Frost, and the actor who plays Harvey popped up as an ex soldier with PTSD in one episode.. he did a good brooding/angry man in that.. much better acting, shame really, be nice to see him do something other than being a complete wet lettuce in Eastenders.

Harvey really is a wet lettuce isn't he.

I think Nish wanted Eve out of the way because it was at the point where he was blackmailing Suki to remarry him (on the understand he would take responsibility for killing Ken). That sounds ridiculous now I've typed it, but compared with this week's dross it wasn't a bad storyline😆

Agree that the six storyline with poor old Ken was almost Shakespearian in comparison to Zoe and her tin of tuna. Nish was a decent baddie though. Maybe not in Janine Butcher or Chrissies league, but menacing enough to scare people and a credible actor.

Harvey was also in London’s burning and played a similar Harvey character in ‘ mum ‘ ( one of my favorite shows ever!) His partner in that Pauline wouid have made a good Norma , but maybe a bit too young !

Aunt Babe was a brilliant villain, as were Chrissie and Janine.

Norma got round Madam Tussaud’s ( spelling Mighy be off there ) very fast! The queues are normally huge and she missed the Planetarium too. Unless it was only to see Tom and George and nobody else

80s I forgot Harvey was in Mum. I loved that series.

Basically , Ross Boatman ( Harvey ) is the same character in ‘Mum ‘ as he is in EE !
Although Kathy is a nicer partner than Pauline ever will be! Lol

I loved Pauline, brilliant character.

Jean was out for revenge on Harv once , almost the same level of hatred as she has for Zoe atm.
I did find the incense sticks instead of sparklers funny though. Freddie’s jacket looked like my tv on I player when it goes all weird! It’s a shame Freddie is leaving as I don’t mind him around. At least he is inoffensive and doesn’t judge anyone ( and he likes Jean )

Norma reminded me of Pauline. The kind of woman who ‘ pulls a face ‘ !

I used to like Freddie but he just annoys me now (I agree about the jacket).

I was just looking at next week's spoilers.

Kobina insists Kojo returns to Ghana for his own safety (Kojo refuses). But how come his involvement with the police didn’t show up the fact he’s here illegally!

And incredible news - they are getting a security system for the Vic. Do you think it will include CCTV??

They may well fork out for a security system, but next time there is a murder or a theft or something really bad , it’s bound to not be working. Especially if Alfie is in charge of it ! lol

I'm getting really fed up of the Suki Eve stuff and this was a particularly boring episode.

Nicola is looking good though.

Sometimes I think that a writer or one of the cast lurk on here! They sometimes say things that makes me go hmmm 🤔! ( it’s definitely not me, but I feel that us lot could write better scripts. Mine wouid include deliveries , VAT returns and wages audits. Too boring for soaps I guess unless it’s for plot purposes or someone losing their job / business)
