And who will be the first to be banished from the table?

I think Alan is turning out to be a far better traitor than anyone thought he would be.

InAHammock · 16/10/2025 12:29

But Alan unblinkingly murdered Paloma, who is a close friend of his. And Alan and Cat are being quite upfront to one another about turning on Jonathan if they need to in order to save their own skins. As, obviously, they should.

I think Cat’s playing an incredibly good, strategic game at the moment and would have equally agreed if Jonathan had suggested turning on Alan

I love Joe W and really want him to stay in as long as possible. Same with Celia and Charlotte and Nick - actually, for once I am gutted people have to leave because I want to see how they all do and how the dynamics change amongst them the further they get into the game.

Same! In the "normal" series there is often a decent amount of dead wood that needs sifting out over the first 3 or so episodes before we get to the juicy stuff.

Joe W and Nick were my pic for the long haul when the cast was first announced so I hope they can stick with it.

Algen · 16/10/2025 12:35

I wish Niko had stayed in longer - I would have preferred to lose Kate, as I’m not sure what she is adding at the moment (same for Charlotte, really, but she wasn’t on people’s radar)

TakeMeToAnIgloo · 16/10/2025 07:05

I hope Ruth is gone, as I find her really annoying. Just seems aggressive, rather than assertive

I wonder how the cars thing works. There are 5 cars, and it sounds like the hotel is quite a way a way from the castle, so they must somehow tell the celebs in random order when they're leaving in the evening, and drive tem individually back, then come back for the others, which would take ages and leave quite a lot of room to manipulate who gets left together alone or in small groups. Unless there are a lot more cars available in reality! I suppose they don't have to be the fancy black ones in the evening, so that's probably more likely, and maybe they only leave 5 minutes apart.

We never hear their morning conversations in the cars, so either they aren't filmed or aren't allowed to talk about it in the car.

They don’t find out if they’ve been murdered until the next morning before breakfast.

Yes! Even though I wanted Tom gone I didn’t want him gone at the same time. If only there was a way that the banished/murdered could stay on and participate- I know it wouldn’t work but I like seeing how they all respond and react to each other.

Holluschickie · 16/10/2025 12:48

Algen · 16/10/2025 12:17

I wonder if Joe forgot about it. They must have so many conversations with different people, and of course we can’t see all of them - perhaps there are other things that have roused his suspicions more.

Or Joe W is clever enough to know traitor hunters always get murdered as new ones are recruited.Better to play dumb and stay in, while watching the Traitors.

SyrupofFigs · 16/10/2025 12:53

I was liking Ruth, impressed by how she was holding her own among these high profile types, but she's starting to come off a bit angry
Yes, she's on to Jonathan but it's for the wrong reason so doesn't really count
I guess he made a throw-away (to him) remark about an alliance and she took it at face value. But this was before the game even began.

I think Mark's putting a target on Tameka's back (shown last week) was without any malice - I admire his gumption when others followed the herd and voted for Niko- who I'd like to have seen more of

I do find Lucy a tad insufferable ordinarily, so I'm enjoying her silence

Love Joe Wilkinson.

Joe Marler seems like a good egg.

Nick- v intelligent- lovely guy- one to watch

Stephen Fry- I expected to dislike him more (doesn't alter the fact that- outside of this programme- he's spouted some views I find idiotic and dangerous)
Can't bear it when others blow smoke up his arse re intelligence, though; he's just well educated and boy does he wear it heavily. The Sherlock Holmes comment made me wince.
I think he doesn't know how to be casual, have a relaxed conversation so reverts to his professional persona- he's probably exhausted!
He does seem very polite, I'll give him that.

Love Cat- how can she be 25?- what composure!

Love Alan- definitely the most watchable

And I like Wossy- always liked wossy- another good egg. Things looking a bit dicey for him though and he did start to over explain himself like any guilty party would.
Just shows how hard it is to lie.
I suspect Tom would have found lying easy- I really didn't like him but think he'd have been a good traitor. Glad he's not there though- a real bitchy vibe- not pleasant to watch.

I like Kate and her "ham"- that's just her!

Oops! Bit of an essay but I needed to debrief.

Lottapianos · 16/10/2025 13:01

'Joe Marler seems like a good egg'

He does, but I'm still annoyed about his sexist boys club 'big dogs' nonsense

Was v disappointed in David Olusoga when he voted for Stephen saying he was one of the most intelligent people he had ever met or some such bollocks 🙄

Think Mark was being honest about suspecting Tameka and was clearly gutted by how wrong he got it

lettingthedaysgoby · 16/10/2025 13:04

Tasks - their other purpose is to fill air-time otherwise all they would have is people sitting around all day. Some of the past tasks have been iconic in their campness (Claudia being carried aloft by burly men, the funerals - and I loved making them dig in the graves straight out of the cars).

Lucy - you can't be clueless and do stand-up, you have to be quick-witted. I'm waiting for her to step outside her act, she did a little on Taskmaster a couple of times.

Jonathon and the alliances - I think they were all nervous going in and her reverted to comforting presenter, setting people at ease - then forgot. His ability to forget things (this conversation, that he had a shield) will be his undoing.

The next round table will be interesting.

I was thinking that’s a different situation though. Alan needed to murder someone by touching their face - and in that scenario it was easier for him to pick a friend. I think people are less likely to vote off their friends at the round table.

I agree it seems to be his instinct. When Macy Grey through a proper tantrum on the masked singer and stropped off, he tried to smooth it over.

@Lottapianos Hadn't considered that with Joe M. I think someone included Celia in the big dogs, but can't remember who that was.
Agree re David- I think people like Stephen Fry and Tom Daley are surrounded by so much fawning that they no doubt believe the hype.

Allswellthatendswelll · 16/10/2025 13:39

Holluschickie · 16/10/2025 08:22

Yes. And sometimes a minority man.

Everyone knows this.

I worry for Kat that they are going to think there must be someone young and someone of a minority as a traitor. Getting rid of Tameeka or young people like Ruth might expose her.

Ladyymuck · 16/10/2025 13:41

Claudia said that Alan Carr asked to be traitor and for what it’s worth I think he’s been a great traitor so far and played the game the way it should be. It must have been hard to have murdered his friend Paloma much easier when it’s someone you don’t know. But Cat is a better traitor as she seems to be flying under the radar so far. I’m really enjoying it and finding it hard to call who will win.

Yes, I agree. I think that’s the biggest risk for Cat at the moment but I’m not sure there’s really any way around it other than the perennial double bluff “well, that’s probably what they want you to think - isn’t it interesting that [whoever] brought that up, wonder what they are hiding”

SaratogaFilly · 16/10/2025 13:42

Choccyp1g · 16/10/2025 12:06

The big mistake Jonathan made was to FORGET that he had a shield. I think it was Rugby Joe that spotted that, but is keeping quiet about it.
Only a traitor could forget having something so important.

This! Hope Joe remembers / brings it up again!

123ZYX · 16/10/2025 13:51

I liked how Alan included Celia as a “Big dog” - no pointing out the sexism directly but might make people think. Also it redirected away from Jonathan without actually defending him.

I disliked how David called Stephen the most intelligent person (especially with Nick sitting there!) but hated it more that Stephen basically went “thank you for noticing” - not even pretending to have any modesty about that or being a “big dog”.

I think Ruth just has a dramatic personality, rather than being aggressive. It must be frustrating when you feel you have genuine evidence and it’s ignored, especially when someone she had bonded with got voted out.

I’m liking all three traitors. Of the faithfuls, I’d like Celia, Joe Wilkinson, and Nick to do well, but I think they all come across as clever and will be accused of being a traitor soon.

Sparklesandspandexgallore · 16/10/2025 14:04

I do think Ruth believed JR said he would form an alliance with those in the car. Whether he meant it as that is another matter.
I thought straight away that it would be a good idea to murder Ruth, then claim JR is being framed.
I’m enjoying this.
I woukd like Clare, Celia and Cat to make it through.

@SyrupofFigs I also love Cat. I saw a Glastonbury performance a year or two ago and really warmed to her through the way she was talking to the crowd and thought her music was great. So nice to not be disappointed in my first impression. She's also making a great traitor so far, hope she stays in a while.

I think the gormless Hull girl is just Lucy's act, she and Jon Richardson were quite funny together before they separated. I'm not keen on her on her own.

Traitors was filmed quite soon after they split up I think, so maybe that's a reason for her being lacklustre.

CaveMum · 16/10/2025 15:23

Just seen a TikTok by Cat Burns of her and Alan in Traitors cloaks lip-syncing to a 4 Non Blondes/Nicki Minaj mash up 😂

I love forcing alan to do TikTok’s with me #celebritytraitors #thetrai... | niko voted out | TikTok

I thought they split up a couple of years ago. I think some people are just quieter in big groups than others, and with limited screen time and a lot of content, if what they are doing isn't relevant to the 'plot' then they just won't be featured.

To be fair, it isn't sexist to suggest that perhaps the production team had deliberately chosen to put the two most famous dominant males on opposing sides.
