And who will be the first to be banished from the table?

@Hobnobswantshernameback 'Humourless peacocking'! Brilliant!

awaynboilyurheid · 16/10/2025 10:31

Agree Tom came over spiteful and bitchy I had complete the wrong impression of him before thought he would be more of a gently knitter how wrong I was!
Ruth is going after JR before the traitors were picked!, Clare could have stated this more and he really just meant that friendships ( alliances ) would be made hope Ruth goes I’d prefer JR to stay in bit longer.
It’s so funny that Allan has gone from a sweaty mess to plotting with Cat and enjoying himself “ I just picked you Celia because of the fart in the cabin!”

weegielass · 16/10/2025 10:34

I can imagine celia's fart winning a best tv moment award and then she nervous farts on stage. or maybe she gets a damehood and farts in front of the king

She's utterly charmless though with it. She seems like a stroppy teenager, as if she hasn't quite grown up, although she's nearly 30. Maybe part of that is her teen goth look. There's something about how her mouth moves that's very off-putting.

Lucy looks like she has no idea what's going on at all, I've never seen her in anything, is she as dense as she comes across?

I hope they don't murder David, I like him the most, I loved his house through time programmes and his black history programmes, he's clearly highly intelligent.

I think the gormless Hull girl is just Lucy's act, she and Jon Richardson were quite funny together before they separated. I'm not keen on her on her own.

KittyHigham · 16/10/2025 10:38

RubieChewsDay · 15/10/2025 23:09

In fairness we've all seen much worse logic for picking out potential traitors, it's not illogical to think that if Jonathan was a faithful he would be keen to keep that original alliance going to help get them all through the first few votes and wonder if the reason he hasn't is because he has a new alliance with his traitor buddies.

But if Ruth believed that there was a genuine "alliance" she's blown it out of the water and betrayed the others who were in that car. It's not clever.
She appears to have taken things very personally. And that's part of the fun watching it, especially this celebrity one. I love the look of umbrage on some of them when their name comes up 😆

ThatCyanCat · 16/10/2025 10:42

It's funny how so often, a player says they really want to be a Traitor and then gets so affronted when someone thinks they might be!

CarefulN0w · 16/10/2025 10:58

Name one single alliance that has worked in anyone’s favour so far.

@InAHammock
I was thinking about human relationships and the fact that it’s harder to vote out people you like, but very easy to vote for people who have got on your tits all day.

I usually hate and avoid Celebrity versions of any programme (Gogglebox, Bake Off, Pottery Throwdown etc) but in this case I think it makes it more enjoyable. Maybe because we partly know them beforehand or because they are taking it more seriously?

Ruth has no chill.

I love Celia so much!

She doesn't does she ? She needs to calm down !

I also love Celia .

I'd find a man with her attitude just as off-putting. That's why I didn't like Tom either, although he didn't seem as aggressive.

Agree with this - nothing to do with being a man or a woman, both just portrayed (obviously may not be reality) as unpleasant characters.

IPartridge · 16/10/2025 08:18

I don't understand the trials/challenges that they have to do. I appreciate they add money to the prize fund but I don't see any value in helping them work out who the traitors are.

Builds up teamwork and forges bonds I'd say.

Yes. They create situations where the players have to interact, communicate and engage with each other. Helps us get to know them, as well as for them to know each other. This then creates dilemmas for voting etc. Do you keep a useful person to do tasks for example.

It also forces the Traitors into a dilemma a la the funeral task - they knew the names of the 3 people going into the coffins and had to choose between speaking up to get the money, but risk outing themselves, or stay quiet and watch the money slip away.

Its another way of forcing the Traitors to act, and potentially give themselves away.

TakeMeToAnIgloo · 16/10/2025 11:43

Yes I agree about Tom and was also glad that he went! I'm quite glad in general about all the ones who've left so far, though Nico seemed interesting and I'd have liked to get to know more about him. Tameka was just a bit diva-ish in the cabin.

Lucy puts on an act of being stupid; she did it on Taskmaster too. I don't think she is nearly as clueless as she acts. She repeated something at the round table last night that someone else had said, a wide-eyed 'oh, you mean....' like she had just figured out how that showed the person was maybe lying or whatever, when it was something really pretty obvious (sadly I can't remember exactly what it was now, but it was hardly deception of the century). So I think a lot of her naivety and cluelessness is put on. She's a lot cleverer than she tries to come across, although I'm sure she has her ditzy moments too (maybe more than lots of people!).

I don't mind the tasks either, for the same reason the PP said, showing how the interact, and also some times providing dilemmas, like when they work together to get/use shields, who they help, who is chosen for things, how hard they try for shields themselves, etc

Jonathan wasn't the only one to mention the word alliance, they did too in the car with jo, david, lucy and kate so they'll all be wary of ruth.

My daughter was saying that one of the reasons the celebrity version is working so well is that they are all used to talking for the camera. So where non-celebs might have quiet thoughts or just do things, this lot talk to themselves 'I think I'll go in here now and see what these people think'

Exactly. Not clever.
But I don't think any of the others saw the conversation as anything other than nervous chatter before the game really began.

Choccyp1g · 16/10/2025 12:06

The big mistake Jonathan made was to FORGET that he had a shield. I think it was Rugby Joe that spotted that, but is keeping quiet about it.
Only a traitor could forget having something so important.

I'd only ever heard "don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining", and that only from Aussies.

On Australian survivor they said "dont piss in my pocket" a few times

Which is why I’m surprised Joe didn’t vote for Jonathon on that basis and his ‘big dog’ theory.

I wonder if Joe forgot about it. They must have so many conversations with different people, and of course we can’t see all of them - perhaps there are other things that have roused his suspicions more.

NewAgeNewMe · 16/10/2025 12:20

Dh is out out tonight. He’s a bit put out that I’ve said I’m watching tonight’s episode and not waiting till tomorrow to watch with him.

No chance 🤣🤣

IAmKerplunk · 16/10/2025 12:22

I really thought JR and Cat would plot to throw Alan under the bus - I think it’s funny that it’s now Alan and Cat considering it. I think Alan will last a while.

As an aside - I have just started watching Guilt, never heard of it before and absolutely love it 😀

IAmKerplunk · 16/10/2025 12:23

I love Joe W and really want him to stay in as long as possible. Same with Celia and Charlotte and Nick - actually, for once I am gutted people have to leave because I want to see how they all do and how the dynamics change amongst them the further they get into the game.

Molly famously trusted Harry, despite her instincts.

But Alan unblinkingly murdered Paloma, who is a close friend of his. And Alan and Cat are being quite upfront to one another about turning on Jonathan if they need to in order to save their own skins. As, obviously, they should.
