This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. Oh, dear. Andy has been caught out, poor lad.

Gosh, imagine going at about 90 mph and no power steering or fancy technology to turn those corners.

Am I allowed to confess that this motor racing stuff is as boring to me as the boxing was in Soldier Soldier?

This must be a nightmare for Mary. I think accidents must have been pretty common in those days and safety wasn't properly considered.

Mind you, one of the cars has come off the track and bursts into flames. Mary panics and thinks it's Henry.

Turns out it's one of Henry's friends, Charlie Rogers.

So Mr Molesley is more intelligent than Oxford and Cambridge graduates 🙄- mind you, not difficult in an age when the chief qualification for a place was wealth and the right connections.

Henry has chosen this tragic day to propose, it seems. I don't think he could have chosen a worse moment. Given what happened to Matthew they really shouldn't be suited.
