I agree with @BurnBurnBurn Ashley is a massive red flag and Grace is listening to her gut. It’s a shame that misogyny is excused and she is seen as the biggest issue when it’s him. She isn’t suited to the show as obviously she is a very private person.

Grace has never said I don't want ever to be touched by a man in my life! She knows she has issues with touching and often does get anxious around it. At each stage, she takes longer to warm up than her partner and gets there eventually in her own time, such as when they were massaging. it's not touching and then straight to full sex, is it? She's going her own speed and that's what she needs to do and Ashley's role is to decide if that slower speed is ok for him and go that speed.

What you term her 'mixed signals' are intense anxiety and if you are with a very anxious person, you don't keep going or get cross if they get anxious, not if you are a decent person anyway. You can decide to leave though or that that person isn't for you.

They're not suited actually.
