Starting this early because I have things to do. Please come here when the other thread fills up!

It’s quite different. All the couples will appear once every week for an extended debrief and look forward to next week. They have choreography corner when they look at the dances and discuss technique. They have other features like looking at the costumes, some footage from rehearsals and a Friday panel, then more as the number of couples dwindles like a pro challenge, looking at international versions of the programme, or trying different forms of dance. The exiting couple always appear on the Monday after.

This early in the series it's quite frantic trying to whizz through a review of all the dances just done on Monday/Tuesday preview the songs and costumes for the following week on Wednesday/Thursday, show some training footage for the upcoming dance and interview all the couples each week. Once the numbers have thinned out it changes with the pros doing a 'world record' challenge, lots of silly light content to fill the time. The sweet spot is probably about 10 couples when there is enough content to fill the time every day without either ricocheting from couple to couple or too much fluffy padding to use up the time.

I think the first 3 out will be Ross, Thomas and Chris, to be perfectly honest. I look forward to Alex getting better marks.

I like Chris, I don't want him to have an early taxi! 🚕

@NoCommentingFromNowOnI haven’t really watched it since it went Fleur/Jeanette. I might watch select episodes this year. It’s all filler really. Training footage and interviews

I record it and whizz through. I'm not keen on the presentation, I preferred Rylan and Zoe.

I skip a lot too. I did watch live last night but usually skip thru the bits I’m not bothered about.

EsmaCannonball · 30/09/2025 14:10

I used to watch ITT but now I have it on in the background and don't particularly care if I miss it. Claudia and Rylan were spontaneous live presenters but Fleur and Janette are incredibly dull, and Janette is an uncomfortable watch sometimes. It was always a cheap and cheerful show but now it's been pared right back and you don't even get fun stuff like Ian Waite or the pros showing you their houses (how else would we have known that Aliona was a massive fan of Ambrosia Tinned Custard?) Very, very occasionally you'd get something noteworthy, like a celeb not bothering to turn up for their exit interview or Jamelia dropping truthbombs, but most of the interviews are very repetitive now. I like it when they use the benched pros and the ex-pros. Erin was always my favourite on Choreography Corner and I'd love it if they replaced Shirley or Motsi with her (but that will never happen).

LittleBitofBread · 30/09/2025 14:32

I miss Ian Waite's Choreography Corner with Zoe! I did love Erin though too.
Len trying to teach Claudia just one step and the two of them in hopeless giggles will never be bettered, though.

LadyDanburysHat · 30/09/2025 15:20

I loved Ian Whaite on choreography corner. I have never really liked Joanne Clifton, but find her a little less annoying these days. Fleur is an accomplished presenter, but not very interesting. Janette is dreadful at presenting, I find her awful to watch. I really miss Zoe and Claudia was great before her.

You really notice the difference in good presenters. Rylan was crap compared with Zoe too, although I generally like him.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 30/09/2025 16:14

Is Janette pregnant again?

Bluevelvetsofa · 30/09/2025 17:04

I don’t mind Fleur, but Janette is a much better dancer than presenter. Rylan and Zoe were the best combination.

Loved Ian Waite on Choreography Corner, but agree than Joanne is a bit less annoying than she was.

Humptydumptie · 30/09/2025 18:02

I was blown away when I looked up Alex’s age - am looking forward to see how she does.

Think he does those theme weekends where pros and ex pros teach and perform.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/09/2025 18:52

Yes @Coffeeishot he’s part of that group with Brendan, James and Pasha

IIRC, Ian and Natalie Lowe were both on the Aussie version of Strictly not that long ago.

George is reminding me of Will from The Inbetweeners.

Say what? Formerly married to Ralph? .... off to Google...

NoCommentingFromNowOn · 30/09/2025 19:20

I’d love a foreign version to be shown on BBC4 sometime, weekly so we can experience it as it was shown. I wouldn’t mind if it was months later really, so say the Aussie version starting on a random Thursday in March would be perfect.

Bluevelvetsofa · 30/09/2025 19:21

James Jordan, Pasha Kovalev, Ian Waite, Vincent Simone are doing a tour with some females I’ve not heard of.

NoCommentingFromNowOn · 30/09/2025 19:22

Alex is stunning isn’t she? I was watching her on yesterdays ITT (watched this evening 😆) and she’s just…..mesmerising.

Yes, he famously left her for Francesca Annis, who was quite a bit older.

EsmaCannonball · 30/09/2025 19:25

Ralph Fiennes has morphed into Leonard Rossiter now. He is rumoured to be quite a bit skeevy.

ButterPiesAreGreat · 30/09/2025 19:28

Ian Waite also just finished on DWTS Australia. He danced with Rebecca Gibney. I would have loved to see that, I bet they had a ball (tho they didn’t last that long).

She is great. I hope she doesn’t keep getting under marked - it is weird how they can be quite indiscriminate with the marking & how some contestants so much more support than others. Obvs Alex is a seasoned stage & performing pro. She’s just in another class though. Would love her to smash it.
