Karen was brilliant, loved her. She comes across as so sweet too.

Near the end Ellie was looking very tired and a few of the professionals were talking to her and holding her hands.

Ellie seemed upset/maybe overwhelmed , karen and another female pro appeared to be comforting her? I didn’t see her at the end.

Ellie was gone by the time Karen was up there.

She was on the dance floor with Vito, the camera panned past them.

I agree she looked upset in the Clauditorium at one point.

I couldn’t see Vito there, maybe she was distressed as he had left? I imagine it could all be quite overwhelming for her

It was during La Voix scores, she was being supported by karen and Dianne, just watched it back. She didn’t appear (on screen) after that

I don’t normally watch Strictly so early on in the series but I did and I really enjoyed the whole programme.

I enjoyed that so much that I didn’t end up looking at my phone/Mumsnet until now. I’m not sure I can read 900+ posts(!), but I also always enjoy this thread. Maybe I’ll gradually catch up on the posts at some point.

I’ve had a really tough couple of months and watching this tonight has been so good for me.

Awww when she said "thank you for having me". Really hope she goes far. Along with Stefan (mainly for nostalgic reasons of watching Neighbours in my younger days) who I was pleasantly surprised by.

Fingers crossed Skinner will be first out next week.

Karen was fantastic. I always admire those, like Ross, who know they’re not great dancers but give it a go. I hope he gets a few weeks before he’s voted out.

I expect different arrangements will be made for Ellie next week as she was obviously struggling. She looked uncomfortable even when she was with Vito at one point, her smile had disappeared.

Actually, I was watching it tonight with someone who went to school with him - same year. So his age is exactly what is says in his wiki profile.

Have you seen Robert’s Irwin’s first couple of dances from Dancing with the Stars? Blows strictly out of the water for first week dances. And he has had zero dance experience. He’s amazing, I’ll try to link, can see on you tube.

Karen Carney was fabulous! So tight and clean. Just wish she was with Kai or Nikita as Carlos appears to have gone full camp this year.

Alex and Balvinder criminally underscored, IMO, but they were my other faves.
Skinner the less said the better. Hope he's first out. Amy looked so fab though.

Just finished watching good standard for first show ! Karen was amazing hoping she wins tbh so humble as well. Reckon Ellie would have been paired with Gorka height wise she did look overwhelmed bless her. Hoping Boris lookalike goes first I know Ross wasn’t good but he is likeable. On a side note can’t wait for Celeb Traitors !!

Most dance forms are grounded in ballet and Bussell is one of the best ballet dancers. She understands dance. Many ballroom dancers and gymnasts and figure skaters train in ballet for their technique.

That’s what popped into my head too!
