Apparently she's "ruled it out".

Last year Kia Pegg was rumoured to be taking part, I always hoped she’d appear this year instead. She’s little heard of but then that doesn’t seem to bother the people signing contestants up! She’s a children’s presenter and was a regular on Doctors. She’s a very lovely, normal lady though so I’m not sure it’d be her thing?

I know it's only the Sun, and so it might just be rubbish, but it kind of sounds like they're casting around for someone from scratch. I thought they always had standbys, like with Jamie/Kelvin – do they have a contract that only goes up to a certain point. e.g. when training proper starts?

I think for any "celebrity" that has young children it's a big thing if you are kept in because of how long it goes on for- it's not like it's 2 weeks and then gone plus the amount of training you need to do unless you are naturally talented / have lots of pre ious experience but then again it's still a huge commitment (and that's without the social media aspect)
I was trying to think off females who I would like to see on it which is hard as I don't watch much uk tv - how about Vicky McClure, the one who lplays Sarah in Corrie or her daughter, Sophie Raworth (did the Xmas special one year), the trumpet lady who has just retired Alison (married to Sam Mendes), Joanna Paige, I'm sure there are more ...

She has way too much on but I'd love to see Alison Hamond on the show.

Scarlett Moffatt is a good shout.

But, yeah, it's probably going to be someone a bit obscure.

Normally, I think, but they're so short of women this year surely they would have had any reserves on the main show anyway.

ALISON Hammond did it a few years ago Alijaz was her partner. It might have been his 2nd or 3rd year.

Scarlet Moffat Ballroom dances as a hobby now, she used to compete as a little girl. So she might not want to do it

I can't remember whether the songs and dances are announced for week 1 in advance. I know they are for subsequent weeks because I always check SM for Tunes on Tuesday.

Alison Hammond's interpretation of Wuthering Heights remains one of my all-time favourite Strictly dances. All I can say is Emerald Fennell has missed a trick there.

I think Alison is responsible for bringing Aljaz out of his shell a bit on the programme. She took the training and the programme seriously, but not herself and that helped him relax.

Yes, thought we’d have heard of Dani’s replacement by now. Unless they’re going to do a dramatic reveal on Saturday night! Maybe someone really well known ( or not!)

Is Alison Hammons WH dance available to view anywhere ?

I took was thinking they might do a big reveal on Saturday, but the couple don't dance till next week .
And maybe get a bye for the first week of voting ?

If not , Nikita will be doing loads of the ' interval ' dances !

I know there is no interval as such ..but didn't know what to call them !

I thought all of those bits were prerecorded. Just the actual dancing is live every week.

I think the musical guests are pre recorded but a recent pre record of they are plugging a new song/album.
