Watching Robert Irwin in his DWTS first dance he blew our guys out - he was amazing!

Love Diane but it’s a bit coincidental she is paired with a fellow Aussie. All I can think of is how she will keep her hair that vibrant colour whilst pregnant always thought colouring hair isn’t advised when pg?

Diane has been my favourite female pro since she’s been in it! And I love her pairing with stefan as well as I just love the fact they’re both Aussies!
I do wonder how fair it is though on him. There will be restrictions in place for health and safety and if these make the dances less adventurous then he might not do as well.
as much as I love Diane, I can’t help but wonder if she should’ve been in the bench this year just to make it fair?
I hate saying that as I’m a big fan of hers!

As has been pointed out here, either Amy's style of dance is twee or the producers push her into that role.
Danny John Jules may well have been an arse but I can also see how that situation may have been set up for some tension.
DJJ is a dancer. He has a lot of professional experience. But I suspect they were encouraged into something else for the sake of the story.
It's the downside of the ringer. I was never that convinced by Layton and Nikkita's relationship. I suspect Layton had a fair bit more input into their dances than they let on.

I don't particularly like the ringers but it always feels some are allowed through without challenge whereas others get a lot of stick (Alexandra Burke being one that stands out for getting a really hard time).

If you take professional dancers into it then they'll bring a certain desire to do things the way they see as right.

I think the Gladiator guy will quickly start to annoy me! I don’t know why but I just have a feeling he and Karen will push the flirty banter a little bit too far.

I’m loving MiniVern as he’s nice to look at which is always a bonus!

I like George as I’m a sucker for a posh voice!!

I find Vito really irritating so I’m disappointed Ellie is with him as I can’t see myself enjoying the pairing just because he will bug me.

Amy is probably one of my least favourite pros but she looked phenomenal tonight! I’m glad to see her looking so well and happy and it’s a shame she won’t get a decent shot at the show as a result of being paired with Thomas.

Late start, so just catching up with the thread. I don’t know many of them this year, so I’m not invested too much yet.

Im surprised that Thomas didn’t pull out before the start, considering the battering he’s been getting in the press and online. I don’t think he’ll be in it for long.

I feel a bit sorry for Tom. I liked him on the Apprentice, I thought he was a grafter with a lot of charisma. The cheating is shit, but they’ve put it behind them and I don’t like that the press rake it all back up, and people sit in judgement like it’s their business (and I’d be saying that about anyone, I’m not a massive fan of Tom in particular but I really don’t like this trial-by-press).

Like he’s the only one who will have any skeletons.

Does it matter though? Maybe some of them are still competing, or retired, or have "proper jobs", tried auditioning but didn't make it, or simply don't fancy doing Strictly.

KFG had to audition twice, although Karen got in the first time they auditioned together.
