I'm not liking Harry being chained up for this long. I was willing Ravi to go and release him himself rather than trusting Okie to do it, as I knew he would use it as an excuse to power trip and not let him go. Its eating Harry up that he may have lost Gina. I'm surprised he hasn't dropped his dad in it about the camera yet, or at least come up with a different explanation to get off the hook!

Also don't like Madam Lexi's acting and can't believe they keep pussyfooting around her obnoxious behaviour.

Jasmine annoys me with her OTT facial expressions and I just want Oscar to find someone else tbh.

Where are Nicola and Cindy? They seem to have disappeared!

Glad Ravi is finally putting his family first, but it does look like he's running away and leaving Okie to pick up the pieces imho.

B was chained up for months but managed to free herself, walk to Albert square and hit Reiss over the head without breaking a sweat.

Edited

Elaine said Cindy went to visit her sister.

No-one has mentioned Nicola!

I don't care about Harry at all. He's only been chained up a week, Bianca was locked up for about four months! Has he got a bucket behind the bed, and if so is Okie emptying it 🤮.

Jean and Julie were lovely together, Jean is such a superb actress when given the right material.

I also loved Oscar's scenes. He is such a great character. I can't stand Jasmine, and don't think the actress is very good. She's either giggling or sneering.

It does feel like the Joel storyline is over now, everything has come out including the Avani video. It was set up well but wrapped up so fast it ends up feeling a bit pointless.

Alucard55 · 15/10/2025 20:12

Agree don't like Jasmine much. What is a Harry chained to? I'm sure a strong boy like him could break free.

Alucard55 · 15/10/2025 20:13

And the drugs story is beyond boring now I can't even remember how, where, why it started.

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 20:29

@Alucard55 radiator?

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 20:31

@Eastie77Returns teddy just said Nicola had ‘disappeared’ 🙄

Indeed. Especially as he seems to be able to reach the bedroom door and it looks like he has bashed that in a bit already!

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 20:42

The drug story has had more twists and turns than your average roller coaster. Nothing more was said about that Dolan man being stitched up by Jack and Jack and Ravi for shooting Zoe and how Priya isn’t questioning Ravi about things I’m not sure. Is he pretending to have a food supply business? She knew him when he was a drug dealer before, she should realize it’s all rubbish and Oakie is bad news.

Alucard55 · 15/10/2025 20:43

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 20:29

@Alucard55 radiator?

I could break free from that and I don't have Harry's muscles. It's not a Bianca situation with egg boxes in the walls he could shout at least.

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 20:43

Did Jumpers say that Nic was visiting her sister ? They all have convenient sisters dotted around

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 22:13

No jumpers doesn’t know where Nic is and nor do we!

harrys room must have a window he could break/bang on. And I agree he’d just pull the radiator off the wall anyway.

I think it might have an internal window rather than one leading to outside. It is a basement flat afterall.

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2025 03:38

I can’t see how you’d pull a radiator off a wall easily , but then I haven’t much strength in my arms and that looks a hefty chain. He should try though.
Bianca managed to escape eventually, I’m hoping he will do something soon if only so this story can be wrapped up! It’s been dragging on and on and going nowhere.

Shellingbynight · 16/10/2025 08:11

I guess as Ravi has 'gone on holiday' now it'll drag on until at least after he's back, arghhh! Nugget and Avani are still in school and it's term time, but then again Ollie has been off school the entire term so the writers don't care about that!

the80sweregreat · 16/10/2025 08:31

A few schools where I live have two weeks half term in October and less time off in the summer , so maybe this is why they can jet off soon .. I hope ! 🤞
Ollie and Annie will need Julie to tutor them if they ever come back from their long holiday. Maybe Linda has told their school to take the children off their register ‘ cruise schooling ‘ !

Southeastdweller · 16/10/2025 08:32

I felt a bit sorry for Ross today and I liked Ian being told he was a hypocrite for not allowing Ross to stay at his house because of Joel when he supported Bobby when Bobby did far worse than Joel.

I did feel sorry for Lily yesterday. I know Nigel has dementia , but the no filter language is hard to listen to and you wouid be upset by it.
She really looks like her mum and Zoe, some good casting with those actresses

Alucard55 · 16/10/2025 10:12

Haven't seen today's but I do think it's a difficult situation for Ross. At the end of the day Joel is his son what is he supposed to do.

Shellingbynight · 16/10/2025 10:38

I haven't seen it either, but Ross has now effectively been isolated. He hasn't really got any friends there has he? I don't even remember seeing him in the Vic much, he was always 'working'. The only person who ever gave him the time of day was Alfie, and the only person who would 'understand' is Harvey and he seems to be on the missing list.

Southeastdweller · 16/10/2025 11:05

Anthony, Ian and Harvey supported him today, Vicky still has feelings for him so I expect Joel’s crimes will soon be forgotten and Ross will become an ‘Everyman’ type like Martin who won’t feature much.

OP posts:
Shellingbynight · 16/10/2025 11:23

Thanks South - I'm glad to hear Harvey was included. Yes I expect he will get back with Vicky at some point.

OpalescentFruit · 16/10/2025 11:31

Offending behaviour is reduced when there is inclusion. We all have the knee jerk reaction to vile behaviour but seeing the bigger picture is important in rehabilitation. Offending cannot be treated in isolation as at the end of the day the offender will return to the community.

Joel is possibly a psychopath but his behaviour stems from significant trauma from being abandoned by his mum, an unsuccessful move to Aus where he was bullied and ridiculed by other kids and no effective social or psychological support.

He developed maladaptive behaviour as a way of taking control over the narrative of his life. Punching down on women (metaphorically as well as literally) was his way of reframing his feelings and empowering himself. As Julie pointed out Joel is lonely.

Joel's recovery trajectory isn't great as he'll end up in Young Offenders which will cause further trauma and entrench his behaviour.

Sad end for someone who was once, and still is, a traumatised child.

NowNumber5 · 16/10/2025 11:36

@the80sweregreat my DCs have 2 weeks off in October, and 9 weeks off in summer.
I might start looking at cruises... 😉😂
