It would take them a good few hours as they'd have to get from Walford to Kings X and then on to B'ham which would be a minimum 1h 30 on the fastest train. Same day returns are pricey and Vicki is supposed to be broke but money problems are always temporary on EE.

Lauren and Peter's childcare issues are bewildering. They didn't think about who would look after Jimmy full time before Lauren returned to work? And how does Ian have this time to help when he has the Fish and Chip shop plus Beales eels and neither shop has any staff.

I'm not sure what happened with Kojo. He was wondering around Luton all night, called Harry from a phone box and then just managed to get home? So odd.

Stacey is very dumb for her bizarre choice to confront the man 🙄🙄

Not once did Vicki or Kathy have to get directions on their phones to this podcast event. They just found it , so must have been near the station etc! Luckily the trains fly around and are never broken down or slow or cancelled or not running. They were so lucky lol
It wouid have made more sense to have it the event in London to make it more believable , but EE is just so far fetched with it’s random storylines like this where people take off on a whim.
Cindy is also running a bar now , but has time to look after Jimmy. Maybe Elaine will do it all.

Will Stacey leave Eve the bap stall when she goes to Brazil to live ( without a visa I bet !)

Stacey and the slaters in general always think they are invincible! Also this nasty Greg found his way to the pub rather quickly too. I suppose that he drove up , but why didn’t he go there last week after it was in the paper ? I wonder if Max will show up to see him off ?

Yes perhaps Max turns up after reading about Zoe’s shooting, saves the day, Stacey finds out about their relationship and that’s why she leaves.

Agree that people are always sent to improbable places. Brazil is so random. Bit like sending Ricky to Germany where he became a hugely success businessman. Very unlikely. And what kind of ‘boxing commentator’ job would a washed up boxer like George suddenly be offered!

I’ve known people who have emigrated all over the place , but never Brazil ! They could say anywhere , it’s not as if it’s real. Europe is far more believable than South American too.
The writing and story lines seem bonkers lately!

Nothing about Zoe and Greg makes any sense.
“I want my money”. For what? He didn’t do anything.
(And we still aren’t clear she didn’t leave him the money anyway.)
So maybe there is something us viewers don’t know about what was actually going on. But I don’t care. I am fed up with Zoe. As for Stacey running over and confronting Greg, not even Stacey is that dumb.

How did Kojo manage to call Harry? If his mobile was dead/lost, he wouldn’t have Harry's number. I don’t even know my OH’s mobile number never mind anyonelse’s.

The Dolen connection is key here I think.
Max may have set up the meeting with Greg and Zoe originally because his been in touch with the evil priest in Ireland ( Zoe’s twin brother ) and wants revenge on Kat and the slaters. Although all this is just my speculation based on one surname. He may have orchestrated that chance meeting with Zoe himself.
I don’t know why Zoe hasn’t told any of them about the dad of her children or what happened to her.
I suppose that of this new girl Jasmine is her long lost, thought she had died , child it’ll be a Ronnie Mitchell / Danielle type situation again , maybe ? I can’t see any of it ending well.

Zoe did tell Kat about the twins, and said they died. She believes the girl died and abandoned the boy, so she doesn't want to tell anyone about it because she thinks it is 'unforgiveable'. Apparently.

I am not expecting any of it to make sense. But remind me, why would Max want revenge on the Slaters? He would never want to put Stacey in danger surely?

Awful characters and awful storylines.

I honestly love Denise and Jack even with all the problems. I hope they keep them together long term.

This is something I’m also not clear on. Is it because Zoe tore off the necklace he gave her, or she can’t give him that £5k he lent her?

I don’t like Jack at all but they’ve grown on me as a couple. I think they lacked chemistry in the beginning but it has improved. they’ve known each other decades since their days on The Bill and I think are good friends in real life. I did read the Dee actress said she wouldn’t accept ending up with Ravi during that love triangle business which makes me wonder how genuine the ‘live public vote’ was that voted for her and Jack.

South, he was fine when they spoke on the phone when she was in hospital, he seemed pleased to hear from her. Then he realised she was in Walford and she started yelling at him not to come near her and he made some daft threat about 'ending her' or something. She obviously isn't scared of him as she keeps ringing him and asking him to come and get her! None of it makes sense.

He definitely wouldn't want to hurt Stacey though.

Zoe threw an envelope at max and this Greg mentioned money , but agree none of it makes any sense anymore and most people don’t care ! Lol

Woe, todays one was was really sown up well wasn’t it !
Nasty Dolan deserved it really for trying to touch up Zoe and wanting money for nothing and now Ravi and Jack and Jack can help each other. For Ravi to say his ‘ in over his head ‘ is an admission for him that these drug dealers mean business! Walford police won’t pry too much into any of it I guess, job done!

I did laugh that normally doors are wide open for anyone to come in , but today they were locked out the pub!

Yeah I didn’t understand why she left him that message earlier this week, shouting he couldn’t just walk away from her and he had to come and get her. I thought she wanted him to stay away from her. Does he know she’s in Walford and living with Stacey? It’s really impossible to keep track or whether she hates him or wants him, what is going on with the money and that bracelet…the whole thing is so convoluted.

I was wondering about Kojo and the call/how he recalled Harry’s number. I didn’t even know public phone boxes still existed lol. Also he is neuro diverse, not learning disabled and so why wouldn’t he have been able to board the evening return train on his own (as he eventually did the next morning). Harry was shrieking that he was not safe to come home on his own.

The only mobile number I know is my own tbh. Kojo did well to remember Harry’s one.
( I should write down numbers and store them somewhere else really in my bag!)

There isn't much about EastEnders that makes sense nowadays is there.😕 Things happen just because the plot needs them to happen.

Easties I think when Max was on the phone to Zoe he heard something in the background which made him say 'are you in Walford' - maybe it was Kat or Stacey's voice.

The scenes in the Vic… god save us. How convenient Greg didn’t deny shooting Zoe, and everything is now tied up with a bow so we can forget about Gregg and shootings. At least we don't have to watch gun-pass-the-parcel any more.

80s I had been thinking the same about having a note of phone numbers other than in my mobile.

I know my best friends mobile number because she's had the same one since 1995! Other than that, only my own.

Kojo probably has a photographic memory and he saw H’s mobile number once and remembered it!
finding a working phone booth is probably more far fetched tbh !

IRL a decent lawyer would be able to get Dolan off the shooting charge as there would be no ballistics/residue linked to him. He might even have an alibi! But as we saw when Dean went to prison, people in Walford are convicted on the flimiest pieces of evidence.
