Linda sold the Vic around 22 July so she's now been on a cruise for 3 months, she will have shovelled through £££. It's even more unbelievable than Jay and grandad or Stacey and Brazil!

Johnny returned a while ago. Maybe she is avoiding her fsmily and is a stowaway on the high seas.

Yes Priya’s singles cruise suddenly morphed into a family friendly one for Linda, the kids and Johnny. The extra cost was no issue for Linda and the cruise conveniently had space for them all at the last minute.

I predict Jay’s grandad will die and he will leave offscreen to build a new life in <insert random country> because he is still struggling with grief for Lola and cannot be around the memories of her in square. Similar to Stacey going to Brazil because she couldn’t face all the memories of Mar’in.

Priya’s clothes annoy me , she can look nice, but they put her in things that seem wrong.
I don’t think I’ll miss any of those if they all go to Ibiza soon. Felt sorry for H not being set free :(

I like Priya, and she has an incredibly mobile face, so I tend to see that and not the clothes, which sounds like it's for the best!

Priya is very attractive, but it’s just the clothes. Probably high fashion , of which I know nothing to be fair

Lexie is a madam. Asking Callum who he would pick over her and Jonny Sausage - he's not even her dad and presumably when Ben gets out she'll be living with him. Too much pandering to a child that's not his. There are 3 sets of biological relatives on the square that could look after her (yes I'm heartless).

I know what the Jay actor said was appalling but he's been on the show since he was a child seems a bit off that he won't get a proper send off.

I don’t know, but I’ve a feeling that getting shot of Jay was the BBC making a point especially as last years strictly contestants seemed to have a lot of bad press and various issues. I suppose they were between a rock and a hard place as to what to do and opinions were divided. It is sad he won’t have a proper send off, but one or two have left under a cloud and never returned.
I agree that they all pander to Lexi because she lost her mum and Ben spoiled her. I think she needs taking down a peg!

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I think Jay’s sacking was too harsh. A fine, suspension, public apology some kind of awareness activity could have been a viable alternative. He has been on the show since he was a child and has no prior record (as far as we know) of doing this kind of thing.

Yeah they have to be seen to be doing the right thing, I guess. Hopefully Jamie is feeling positive after his shoddy treatment and has some work lined up.

I remember when Dirty Den’s video came out of him denigrating various EE cast members which led to his sacking. I know it was awful but when he talked about Jessie Wallace and said “it’s a vile dog” I couldn’t help laughing..

Mrs C (June Brown) never got a proper send off did she?
Never was sure if that was her choice or not bit seems odd after being Dot for 35 years.

On the face of it Jamie's sacking seems too harsh, if it was really just about one comment. But there was the suggestion when it was announced that there is more to it. I doubt we'll ever know.

Dot got a proper funeral with a horse-drawn carriage, and old characters returning (Mary, Colin, Lauren, probably some others). The funeral was where Sonia met the dreaded Reiss!

But when Dot left the show, it was just a voice mail on the phone to Sonia wasn't it?

Oh I see @NowNumber5 yes you're right. ISTR there was a rumour June fell out with the producer, which caused her sudden strange exit.

I just remember it was all rather odd, with the voice message thing saying she was in Ireland (I think) and wouldn't be returning to Walford.

They did a big send off for Dot , eventually, but only after the great June Brown died.
Julie and Jean were phenomenal today. It’s not always good at times, but occasionally some of the actors pull off a decent scene or two and that was one of them.

Was it this time last year that Reiss was running amok and Bianca was in his sights for exposing the truth about poor Debbie ! How time flies by and now she’s in Bali probably propping up a beach bar somewhere.

Bianca was chained up for a long time :(
It was horrible !
I do want closure for Harry and Kojo ( wherever he may be ) I can sense fatigue for this storyline and Nicola going awol when she knows that Harry is having these problems.

I don’t like the Julie character and annoyed she’s getting prime time but she’s a long established actor so i guess they want their money’s worth.
Lexie is awful. I don’t know if she’s got worse but to me she has a very stage school kid vibe and I’m not really interested in her and her multiple dads, none of the dads have much about them.

agree oakie comes across well, quite a vibrant character, a bit like Oscar, although Oscar is exaggerated at times, they’re both quite edgy big characters (edgy might not be exactly the right word).
Not so much jasmine (think that’s her name), she also seems a bit stage school to me.
if Nigel manages to sell his car and buy a surprise holiday for him and his moribund wife without anyone finding out I’ll eat my hat.
I’m assuming they’re going to do another scammer storyline where Nigel is conned like Jean. They’ve done the chained hostage anniversary, maybe it’s time for a lack of financial capacity anniversary 🙄

I don’t like Jasmine either , she isn’t the best actress and I can’t see her with Oscar really. They don’t seem a credible couple. At least Elaine is trying to put her in her place a bit.

I think the new producer used what he said as an excuse to get rid of him .. surplus to requirements and jay handed him the excuse on a plate .
Jack punched a guy ,and kat has had various spats ...so yep used it as an excuse
