Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Agree about Oakie he's a good character.

@Eastie77Returns Johnny said Linda was in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago.

70s I often agree with you - but seriously? Why would Phil say he'd have got a thick ear off Eric? He's just had a mental breakdown and tried to kill himself because of what Eric did to him! When you see this week's episodes you might find yourself sympathising with Lexi. She'd be far better off living with Kathy.

He probably wouldn't say to Lexi but everyone knows what his Dad was like and Peggy was not averse to throwing a few slaps around .
One of the saddest scenes in Eastenders in years gone by was Phil explaining how him and Grant saw Eric setting up their trainset for Christmas and they sneaked down to look . They left candlewax...Eric went ballistic, smashed it up. Phil took the blame and a beating from Eric to spare Grant.
Lexi will know from Billy that children were treated very differently and in their day her spoiled brattish behavior wouldn't have been tolerated.
Yet they overindulge her. Maybe they are compensating but they're raising an entitled madam

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 10:30

@70isaLimitNotaTarget I'm glad they addressed the effects of abuse on Phil, it was very well done.

It isn't really surprising Lexi is a madam though, Ben in jail, Lola dead, Callum is a wet weekend, Billy is equally useless. And so little input from female relatives. Johnny behaved like a 10 year old this week so I can't blame her on that score.

A lot of the parents on Walford are fairly crap, but Lexi really has drawn the short straw!

Eastie77Returns · 15/10/2025 11:49

I really like Oakie as well. I mean he’s not a good guy obvs but his character is well drawn out and I think he has a lot of potential, I hope he sticks around. I think there’s a redemption arc for him. I get the feeling he is developing a soft spot Kojo so maybe he will step up and save him at some point.

Eastie77Returns · 15/10/2025 11:54

Kathy could be a good shout for Lexi but she is unfortunately also prone to having a revolving door of men in her life. Lexi just needs consistency. Honey can be a bit away with the fairies but she has brought her kids up really well and is a good role model. She will keep Billy in line when he starts spoiling Lexi.

I have a question, maybe I missed it but how are they explaining Jay's absence, no mention of him . Surely he would want to weigh in on this

Have we seen the last of Emma? Wouldn't she want to wade back into her granddaughter's life in her time of trauma? Just when Phil is finding stability in his life ( and Sharon is back) though I'm not sure PK ( Patsy Kensit) would grace the Square again....

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 13:06

They have explained Jay's absence, he's 'visiting his grandfather'. How they will explain him not returning - who knows?

Member984815 · 15/10/2025 13:26

Thanks that completely passed me by. Is it the grandad who used to live on the square who was losing his sight? They better explain his not returning, he was dead set on taking care of lexi

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 13:29

Ben will return, Johnny and Lexi will be at full scale war and Callum will have to be in the middle trying to make everyone happy! I did read that Johnny getting new clients backfires, but I didn’t read it all properly to know what happens.

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 13:33

@Member984815 I don't really remember the grandad. They mentioned it in passing a few weeks ago, and then Callum mentioned it again as the reason Jay was not at Jonno's funeral. I think Jay is still supposed to be running Cokers(?) so should have been arranging the funeral.

Maybe grandad will die and leave Jay some money and he can join Linda on what seems to be a world cruise!

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 13:34

Not sure which grandad Jay is meant to be visiting, but the writers need something more to explain a full time absence and to pass on the car lot to someone else too.

OpalescentFruit · 15/10/2025 13:43

The car lot will just slide into Max's ownership without any negotiation, paperwork or cash changing hands.

Eastenders innit?

Shellingbynight · 15/10/2025 13:46

80s I don't know why you think there will be a reasonable explanation for Jay - we've just seen Stacey move to Brazil at a moment's notice 😆

OpalescentFruit · 15/10/2025 13:48

Jay can move to Brazil and operate a funeral parlour out of the back of Stacey's brother's bar. Bit of cartel activity maybe too for extras

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 14:02

True, the writers will ignore Jay or they will just say his never coming back ( or going to live somewhere exotic maybe with Sonia and Bianca in Bali !)
Max running the car lot again might be fun. Elaine is converting her new place into a boutique b and b , so maybe Max will take up lodgings there with her!

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 14:03

Love the idea of Jay and Stacey and Sean running a drugs cartel in Brazil! EE could go all ‘breaking bad’ over there instead of Walford / Romford !

NowNumber5 · 15/10/2025 14:05

This is Jay's grandad?

eastenders.fandom.com/wiki/Bert_Atkinson

NowNumber5 · 15/10/2025 14:06

I bet Linda will come back and say she's seen Stacey and Sean on her travels and that they're doing really well 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/10/2025 14:43

OpalescentFruit · 15/10/2025 13:43

Eastenders innit?

Well Lauren is running it single handed at the moment with no knowledge of cars except "My Dad used to run the car lot".
Max will be all "Well I used to run this gaff" and be back selling ,though at the moment the stock levels need replenishing, they can make Nigel's car their "🫡Deal of the Week". Max will have some contacts in the auctions who 'owe him'

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 14:45

Anyone else noticed that they all seem to have pots of money ? Elaine is having her new place converted into a boutique b and b, Ravi is after a trip to Ibiza although he didn’t say if they are all going did he ( at least it is half term soon) Johnny buying Lexi South Korean skin care ( decent skin care has rocketed in price !) Jasmine and Oscar always in the cafe, Phil seemingly not too bothered that nobody is running his business whilst he is away! Cindy never around either !

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 14:46

I think that Linda must have sweet talked her way into a job on this cruise ! Elaine must be paying for her , you need some spending money!

murasaki · 15/10/2025 14:52

A cruise that takes in Mexico and Sweden is utterly implausible l! Particularly when it was a week's singles cruise for one.

the80sweregreat · 15/10/2025 14:59

It would have been a bit more realistic to have had linda going to visit a relative or visiting Shirley or someone after a week or so on the cruise. You can make up just about anything really but a cruise with small children going everywhere is ridiculous! Was Priya going to be away this long as well ?
