Why they didn’t have Sean settle in Spain or France wouid be a bit more believable. At least the others could visit a lot more easily and cheaper and handy to write out anyone who needs time off ( for panto or whatever!) Brazil is a long way , expensive and you’d be less likely to see your relatives living there!
At the end of the day, it’s not real and I think it would just make a bit more sense.
Apparently seeing Max tips Stacey over the edge a bit and seems she’ll go over alone ( from what I’ve read anyway!)
It seems a random place to choose for her to go to.

I read somewhere that on EE, the further they send a character, the less the actor is liked by staff on set so maybe the Sean character pissed someone off🤣 Similarly only popular actors get Julia’s Theme on exit. Natalie Cassidy has had 3 Julia exits!

Can you imagine the meltdown when Steve McFadden leaves!!!

Yep according to Google you have to give 29 days notice for a civil wedding and provide id and proof of address, but when did soaps ever let reality get in the way of a storyline

I used to love EE when it’s set abroad , especially when they all went to Benidorm that time! Grant and Phil as Brit’s abroad , happy days

If Steve McFadden doesn’t get a big send off / Julia’s theme on a loop , I’ll start a petition to get him a proper send off ! 😂 I doubt they would just let him leave without something.
Gina is so pretty , but her dress was horrible.! I know I’m not a fashionista myself btw !
Glad that H finally got his mum on board , but why didn’t he do this straight away ? The drugs story is dragging now.

Elaine’s wig looked a state today. And it looked even more than usual like she was wearing a negligee.

Lauren’s and Stacey’s talk was really nice. Is it that unusual to go to bed at 9 when you have a young baby??

Amazing that Lauren’s dress fitted perfectly and didn’t need the hem taking up. I didn’t like Gina’s dress but she looked amazing in it.

I was a bit hmm about the 9 am bedtime routine! They have two children and both work ( when it’s for plot purposes mostly ) and busy people , yet 9am bedtime is seen as boring ? I don’t think that is a bad thing at all

Elaine’s tops don’t seem very practical sometimes and she always looks a bit cold! I hope she gets bigger stories once Linda and co return from the longest cruise with two small children ever.

Lauren looked stunning but even if she didn't want boring married life she's got 2 young children so how much excitement is she expecting?

Agree with @Shellingbynight I'm starting to like Nicola. Love that she's not scared of the "hard men" of the Square.

I can imagine that Peter is fairly boring to live with , but she’s had two children with him and this is a rare event on the square to have one family together with the same parents ! I guess it won’t last, but I hope it does as it does make a change! ( although I bet Lauren is like Cindy and becomes bored with him and wants to be a party animal again and not asleep by 9pm !)

Peter has to get up at silly o'clock for the market stall, so 9 makes sense.

Peter is admittedly boring, but it was all a bit odd yesterday with Penny criticising Lauren for not going out clubbing like they used to years ago - Penny is still single, Lauren has two kids.

Zoe just doesn’t work as a character.
I think she peaked in her 20s - the character and the actress. The leather jacket and red lipstick was utter cringe. The killer lines towards her adversaries- Vicky Sharon etc are way off the mark and don’t land properly

I think you are right, she just doesn't work whatever jumper or jacket she's wearing. I don't know if that is because of the way her return has been written, or if she would never have worked anyway. It's like the producer was so thrilled with the fact he got her back he gave no thought to what he'd actually do with her. It reminds me of when 'Michelle' returned (recast), that was a disaster.

The writing for Zoe and her backstory has been awful. Michelle Ryan is good at delivering bitchy lines, but is maybe rusty (I don't think she's done any acting for a long time). I thought she was fine all those years ago.

What was that strange 'target' pinned to Zoe's top in the Albert today?

Agree about Cindy wearing white being inappropriate.

Also agree about Gina's dress not being nice, but suiting her. Anna looked great in her dress too.

I think Penny is actually quite a shit stirring trouble maker and she is really quite jealous of Lauren's life tbh. She's the one that keeps putting doubt in Lauren's head!

I had forgotten about Cindy's white dress. I immediately thought of the MN MIL thread 🤣
I thought the whole scene with Penny was odd Lauren has been in recovery for years so making her out to be a party animal was strange (I know you can have fun without alcohol or drugs btw)
Im delighted Max is back, he will shake things up a bit.
I wish they would get in with the Jasmine story.
Ben must be back this week for Callums dad's funeral.

They haven’t managed to nail the mother daughter dynamic either with Zoe and Kat.
Its not convincing as the necessary screen presence/ chemistry isn’t there - say like Linda and E-Laine, or Stacey and Jean, it all feels crow barred in.

Cindy absolutely nails bitch MIL and its great to see the humour that EE do so well within the antagonist matriarch east end MIL/DIL dynamic starting to come out with her and Lauren.

Isn’t it .. too much and it’s killing me seeing Komi being groomed, exploited and cukooed all in plain sight!

I predict that in a years time Lauren will fall off the wagon and become another Linda during the bad times. Bored with Pet ah and stressed with children and work , she’ll start to spiral. They like to recycle the stories.

Yes Lauren doesn’t drink alcohol (at the moment!) so she would probably not enjoy being out with drunk Penny at 2am anyway, drunk people are often very boring if you’re sober!

The only things I remember about Zoe Mk1 are ‘you ain’t my muvver’ and then the horrible Dennis/Den/Sharon plot, so I didn’t like her first time round either.

She doesn’t really have much screen presence. I had just been thinking Max’s return will probably be a lot better because even if the writing is poor, Jake Wood makes Max very compelling.
