Zack was interested in the market inspector job once. Then Ravi said about him getting a job as a chef in the Vic I think I remember? That didn’t seem to happen.
Ravi also told Priya that he wants to set up his own food import business, but the drugs and Harry and Kojo story seems to be on the back burners

Oh yes, Ravi is younger than Denise!

I was just about to say Ravi and Denise. Going back much earlier, I remember Angie having an affair with Andy the nurse. Then in the late 90s Grant had an affair with Tiffany’s mum, also with Kathy.

No woman was ever able to resist the charms of Max, Grant or Phil.

Junior and Cindy too.

Or Ian, inexplicably! 😆

80s Zack was taken on as chef at the Vic recently, he had a conversation about it with Alfie over the bar.

South Max went out with Ruby? I had completely forgotten that!

Also, Peter and Suki (although that wasn't really a relationship).

Denise also went out with the lovely Kush who was a similar age to Ravi. She doesn’t seem to have a type really as both were very different from Lucas (who was also very attractive) who is in turn very different from JackandJack. I’m not counting her ONS with Phil. She also inexplicably had a relationship with Ian!

And Hev and Darren Miller.
What was the age difference there?

(I'm sure we're due 'Baby' George turning up in the square soon too 😅)

George is definitely due back soon with a fake name, seeking to take revenge on Ben.

Agree that Lucas was lush. Just a shame he was a horrible person ! Denise has had many different characters as husbands and lovers. She likes to mix it up. Phil was a bit of a low really , but having babies with the men on the square keeps the links going ( for future stories )

Yeah. He’ll be called Mikey and then make the big reveal to Ben in the Vic after he’s exacted some kind of terrible revenge “Mikey is short for Michael..and my other name is George” <Evil laugh> Duff duff duff…

They were both so drunk neither Denise nor Phil even remembered their bunk up, hence her not realising she was pregnant for months. Totally credible that a ONS between an almost 50 year old woman and 60 something drug addicted alcoholic would result in a pregnancy.

I'm wondering what the weapon Mikey George will use - the turkey prong, the extra long screwdriver, the hide and seek gun, or maybe a heavy duty photo frame will do the deed, to come full circle.

Speaking of younger men/older women, the actress who played poor Hev has married a younger man, I think he is the same age as her son

I think she married two younger men - the current one is 21 years younger than her, and I am pretty sure the first one was a lot younger too (that one didn't go well!)

Havent read the full thread but agree that jasmine is trans, hence Oscar's involvement with her

Sharon trying to poison Ian was crazy. But not as crazy as Sharon and Ian being a couple. That was horrifying! It felt almost incestuous.

Sharon-Ian was one of the show's biggest misjudgments!

I am watching one of the 1990s Marples on iPlayer (They Do It With Mirros) and guess who is in it - Jake Wood! Using exactly the same acting style as he later employed for Max, slouching around looking mardy. The only difference is he has loads of ginger curls! (For anyone who watches Corrie, Bad Uncle Steven is in it too.)

I've always thought Max had a certain roguish attraction to him. I think it's partly the whispering and partly the cockiness.
Irl I'd probably find someone with his personality repulsive, but on TV, at a distance, he's definitely got something.

Of course. That scene where he lay under the bed with a single tear trickling down his cheek while Phil banged Sharon 4 inches above him makes me laugh every time I think of it. Which fortunately isn't often, but you've just reminded me.
