Dropped today. I love Robin Wright so I’m really looking forward to starting it tonight. It’s about a mother who is jealous of her sons girl friend.

I have just finished it, quite enjoyed it but laughable in many places.

God the clothes Cherry wears are truly awful (as is most of her acting) she really reminds me, looks wise, of Walter Goggins girlfriend in White Lotus.

But overall it was a fair la la series.

did anyone else think that Cherrys clothing looked outdated for the time period, (im assuming it’s contemporary looking at the tech and cars) the really short body con dresses and skirts and her stiletto heels, yet the other women were dressed completely differently.

Yes. I wonder if that was intended to show her as being a bit too 'try hard'? She seems really overdressed in those sky high heels and mini dresses. I did really like the metallic pink dress she wore in episode one, dated though it may be!

Yes it did, the wrong era.
The mother had a lovely robe in Spain. Just seen the price, $1405.
That must be where Cherry's clothes budget went.

I think she was meant to be seen as a bit trashy and inappropriate.

The robe and also the striped dress were lovely.

Spent it all on vintage year 2000 fashions in charity shops and Vinted by the looks of it 😁

@IcedPurple im not sure I’m correct though, I think perhaps vintage when attributed to clothing maybe older than that

but they were very ‘dated’ weren’t they ?
