Strictly 2025 : The SPOILER Thread (Results and Couplings)

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 05/09/2025 13:03

Starting this a bit early as Spoilers for the couplings could come out at any time.

Thread will normally be the location for the weekly spoiler but will be spoilers for who is paired with who before the 20th if we can get them.

Thanks!

Eine

I don’t know who would be worse. Mel and Sue or Holly W. None of them please.

ChessieFL · 15/12/2025 17:04

I would love Mel and Sue!

Zoe Ball would also be good but I’m not keen on any of the other names I’ve seen suggested in the media.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 15/12/2025 18:45

Rylan and Rinder!!!

Tess and Claude are irreplaceable.
Go with two gay men who have a proper connection and chemistry.
Rylan for host
Rindy for banter
Robert is sharp as a tack and quick-witted.
Rylan can host well (very good on it takes two).

Both will bring something new and far more interesting a duo than others mentioned.

Rylan has made some very dodgy comments though.

I would not watch Strictly if it was hosted by a racist, right-wing POS.

Thoughts on Zoe. I'm not sure she'd be able to make a commitment to Strictly. I sense she's winding down workwise. She's been on and off with her radio job a while.

I really don't like Amber. I find her smug and self-satisfied. (As well as being a total ringer). George is bland. Karen is the one who has had more of a "journey" from a total non-performing background.

Pretty sure Karen danced as a child? According to MEN she danced (including competitively) until she was 15. The only contestant left that has ZERO dance experience is George.

Amber is the closest to a professional dancer to be competing, and whilst I agree it does give her a huge advantage, I’m really not ok with the nastiness and personal hate that people are expressing. I don’t watch reality tv like Love Island, or Geordie Shore, but I know plenty of people who do. I get the sense that Amber may have been less than ‘perfectly behaved’ on Love Island, and for me the big difference between her and Vicky was that Vicky had the presence of mind to acknowledge that Geordie Shore wasn’t her finest hour, where as Amber hasn’t. But, as I say, I didn’t watch either show, so I don’t really know.

I had no idea who George was before he was on Strictly, but I’ve voted for him every week because he’s actually learnt to dance and is now genuinely good.

I love Rylan & wouldn’t mind him & Rob Rinder but equally would be sad to lose the fact of having a prime time show hosted by 2 women.

I would prefer Rylan & Rinder over Holly, Zoe, Mel or Sue, Fleur or Janette.

@MarvellousMonsters l did watch Love Island when Amber won - she was fine on it & nothing like the antics of what went on in Geordie Shore (nothing comparable to what Vicky got up to).

That’s really interesting, in that case, I don’t know why people don’t like her, it can’t just be her Ringer status, surely?

I’m not keen on Rylan or Rob Rinder, hopefully they’ll find a male/female duo to host it that aren’t OTT & annoying.

RandomGeocache · 15/12/2025 21:06

I didn't know anything about Karen before Strictly, or George or Amber for that matter. I totally bought the "never danced before" stuff about Karen, probably because she's famous for being a footballer. Amber is a west end star which makes the "on a journey" stuff hard to swallow.

I think she comes across as quite insincere, smug and unpleasant. DD and I wateched the results show and DD felt that when Amber said she was in the dance off with the dance off assassin, Balvinder rolled her eyes. I didn't see it myself. I never saw Amber on Love Island so my opinion of her is purely based on what I've seen on Strictly.

George comes across as pleasant enough but bemused by the whole thing.

Starandflowers · 16/12/2025 12:20

My choices for new presenters would be Cat Deeley for Tess (she has experience of a dance show after all) and Sian Welby for Claudia. Neither of their names have been mentioned so it will be unlikely

As long as it’s not Holly or Alison Hammond

They’re not bad shouts! I really like Sian Welby - there’s something very warm about her.

MrsJamin · 17/12/2025 07:04

On Zoe balls podcast dig it she mentioned that she had put her hat in the ring for the job. I could see her and rylan nailing it, they both have such a lot of experience from ITT.

Pinkbox · 20/12/2025 21:50

I could go with Zoe down on the dance floor with her knowledge from competing, ITT and live broadcasting and La Voix quipping upstairs.

La Voix? Seriously? It would all be about him instead of the celebs

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 21/12/2025 11:28

I would be aghast if La Voix got the Claudia job. Kate Phillips from BBC Content said on Richard Osman and Marina Hyde’s podcast that

a) she’d had a lot of emails from people putting their hat in the ring
b) they wouldn’t even START thinking about it til after the current series had concluded at the earliest

and that’s from the horses mouth as it were

OP posts:
Holluschickie · 21/12/2025 11:30

I'd stop watching live if La Voix got Claudia's job.
Oh wait, I already have!
The presenters don't make that much difference to me, tbh.

I couldn't watch a man in a dress with exaggerated womanface.
Nope.

Me neither @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne

Nope.

In the La Voix persona, he looks like a feminised version of the Chucky doll from the horror movies, and all the droll insults are very grating.

I would stop watching Strictly if he were presenting, having him on as a competitor was bad enough.

xsquared · 21/12/2025 16:35

Are we allowed to mentioned the Spoiler for the Christmas special?

I recognise quote a few from the Christmas line up and reckon Mel Blatt would be a good shout for the main series.

Scarlett Moffat would be absolutely mauled by the internet if she was invited as a contestant in the main series, as she has actual ballroom and Latin training and has competed.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 21/12/2025 16:39

@xsquared it’s the SPOILER thread so I don’t see why not

OP posts:
xsquared · 21/12/2025 16:47

Just double checking for the Christmas edition.

Scarlett Moffat won this year's Christmas special. I guess people are not so bothered about dance background for the Christmas special, but it wouldn't surprise me if her dance was the highest scoring and technically the best on the night.

Pinkbox · 21/12/2025 22:04

I find La Voix sharp and funny in the same vein as Lily Savage but I get what you mean about being self-centred. In that brief time waiting for the scores he’d have to focus on each couple. I appreciate lots of people are not keen but then I thought TessBot was usually dreadful so….
