Strictly 2025 : The SPOILER Thread (Results and Couplings)

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 05/09/2025 13:03

Starting this a bit early as Spoilers for the couplings could come out at any time.

Thread will normally be the location for the weekly spoiler but will be spoilers for who is paired with who before the 20th if we can get them.

Thanks!

The leaderboard points still count but, yes, they did that for six series and the show still worked. The celebs the public are least interested in watching get removed and journey contestants have more of a fighting chance of making it through. It was much less predictable, too. You didn't get the situation where celebs would reach the latter stages of the final without a cat in hell's chance of winning.

Although John Sargeant....

EchoedSilence · 07/12/2025 09:23

I hope Amber wins now. It will probably be Bal though because of all the pity voting.

As long as it's not George I will be reasonably happy. His dances are just so boring

EchoedSilence · 07/12/2025 10:24

People on the other Strictly thread have been urging people to vote for Bal for weeks.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 07/12/2025 10:25

Poor music for a salsa.
Now, had they made "Creep" a Charleston and done Couples Choice to One Night in Bangkok, he'd have been straight through...

Katya must be absolutely gutted.

I was expecting a Shock Boot.
How much it was produced is another thing.
Ties on the leaderboard.
Low marks for Lewis.
Wave of sympathy for Bal (Motsi did her a favour).

I think they know the way the votes were going, in terms of George probably going to win by votes alone. Putting him with two ringers in the final makes it even more awks if that happens, as they have made it online only.

Amber, George and Karen makes it slightly less obvious (there'll be unwarranted backlash against Bal next week for Lewis's departure).
Unless we see them declare Amber's dance as her worst and put her last, in the hope they can evict ringer #2.

George, Karen and Bal would be a decent final to be fair. I will be voting for Karen out of the final three, whoever they are.

Well I assume at least they are watching Strictly unlike George's fans who are voting and not watching as a poster said her daughter is doing. Pretty silly but there you go

EchoedSilence · 07/12/2025 09:10

Why people voted for Bal just because she's had a hard time baffles me. I thought it was a dance competition.

Anyway I've got the right hump now 🤣

Exactly my thoughts. People on here saying they felt sorry for her, so they were voting for her. She wasn’t that good a dancer, just better than the weakest dancers, so got through the dance offs, but obviously not popular with the public. As for Tess etc. going on about it on the programme - they might as well said ‘It must be shit knowing people don’t like you, but well done you for keeping on going.’

I’d rather Amber had gone than Lewis, but at least we won’t have an Amber, Lewis and one other final. I think Bal v Amber next week, with Bal going, unless the judges score Amber low to justify getting rid of her, knowing she’ll never win.

the80sweregreat · 07/12/2025 10:28

Absolutely gutted for Lewis! What a blow
His Creep routine was sublime

That makes no difference, look what happened to Vicky.

the80sweregreat · 07/12/2025 10:35

Yep, I know! The voting system is so bad.
Balvinder should have left weeks ago
I suppose that two leaving early because of injury hasn’t helped either though.

Clearinguptheclutter · 07/12/2025 10:37

There is no way Amber will be voted out in a dance off so surely she is a dead cert for the final now

RandomGeocache · 07/12/2025 10:37

I'd think you'd be hard pressed to find an entire cast of people who had never danced or had a dance class, ever. But there is a difference between doing modern, ballet and tap in a church hall from ages 7-12, and earning your living working on the west end stage like Lewis and Amber.

100% she'll be in the final

But definitely won't win

This is why I dislike ringers, they're pointless to have in.

redwinecheeseandothersnacks · 07/12/2025 10:41

Like any reality TV it's a popularity contest. I would say that George is the only one without any dance experience. He might not be 'fabulous' but he is holding his own.

Holluschickie · 07/12/2025 10:42

I would watch a " Strictly Ringers" show with only ringers.

HourlyTime · 07/12/2025 10:43

I voted for Bal because I enjoyed her dance the most.

Not because I feel sorry for her.

SaratogaFilly · 07/12/2025 10:49

EsmaCannonball · 07/12/2025 09:40

People get very annoyed with me on the main thread when I say the dance off is a flaw in the format and they should go back to the years when the show didn't have one. Their argument is it's a dance show; mine is it's an entertainment.

It gets very boring when the dance off keeps celebs the public has no interest in watching in the competition at the expense of more interesting ones who have a bad week. In terms of ratings it makes no sense to keep in the celebs people least want to watch and who will make the rest of the competition more predictable because they have no chance of winning it.

I completely agree with this, especially when the previous week was fantastic for them (thinking of Vicky this year). It would also encourage more voting as you’d always want to ensure your favourite wasn’t at the bottom as clearly no second chances.

“ DD16 is a massive George fan and she says he's got millions backing him online. She's not even watching Strictly but is still voting for him every week! “

Whilst I’m sure this is true, and one of the reasons he’s heading for the final, it’s not the only reason. I had no idea who he was, but I’m voting for him because he’s genuinely working hard, putting in the effort and actually learning to dance*, which to me is the whole point of Strictly.

*same with Balvinder, and Karen.

Good to know people outside his fan base are voting for him!

Shinyandnew1 · 07/12/2025 11:08

Mokel · 07/12/2025 08:47

Think we need to channel our votes to Bal or Kaz next week.

No...Those are my least favourites!

Am gutted Lewis has gone :(

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 07/12/2025 11:23

I had a lie in today, was VERY surprised to see Lewis gone, I think his CC is the dance of the series, sorry not to see it again

Karen Carney must be getting a lot of votes. I don’t think she has ever troubled the dance off?

Ridiculous that people not even watching Strictly are voting for him

cordelia16 · 07/12/2025 11:39

I have been voting for George since Week 1 (all five of my votes). I think he has a great personality - he is humble with a dry wit and doesn't take himself too seriously. His Instant Dance showed he's just a young lad out there trying his best. He's not a try-hard like some contestants have been. His Argentine tango last night wasn't perfect by any means, but for an absolute novice it was spectacular. Ofc Lewis and Amber are that good.

I remember every one of George's dances because I'm a fan. It's all very subjective in the end.

The last tally on the strictly spoiler (which obvs just comes from people on the spoiler boards) had George with 18,040 votes, Karen with 15,714 votes, Bal with 12,613, Lewis with 10,791, and Amber with 9,883.

Indigovelvet · 07/12/2025 11:42

I thought there was way too much packed into the Lewis /Katya dance. He had no chance to breathe and feel the dance. Don't know what choeography was thinking.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 07/12/2025 11:46

Totally agree. You think George was spectacular. I think his partner shows off and out dances him. And that’s ok! It would be boring if we all liked the same contestants! I don’t have a front runner since Alex left.

And the song was for a different style of dance. They got shafted there.

Don't get me wrong - I agree Alexis shows off and dances around him way too much (I wish one of the other pros would sort her out on that front, though don't they get outside help for the AT?). I think he'd be a better dancer if she gave him more stuff to do (like his week 1 paso doble). I love George, but that dance wasn't spectacular. I said it was spectacular given he produced it as a novice.
