Gave up half way through episode 2 as it seems so unrealistic (plus hate the fact it's supposed to be set in the UK but obviously isnt filmed in the UK)

That's what I think. Her own mother is the childhood killer. I wondered in episode 1 but by episode three I was certain. The others are all red herrings. And her mum's partner is way too old, surely. She looks about 80.

Good point. There wasn't CCTV in 69, was there? I don't remember it being a thing until the 80s. I think the author was doing a mix of Mary Bell and the Jamie Bulger case.

Yeah, same guy. He is having an affair with wife's friend, had an affair with the woman previously in Jo's job and is getting handsy with Jo while behaving hen-pecked in front of his wife. Quite a snake.

Yes, and what are the chances that Joanne will blab about them to someone amd then this will get back to Debbie? She will he well amd truly ousted by the whole community.

I predict that Joanne will have to leave the town she's only just moved to, because of all her shit stirring, never mind as well as her mum potentially being Sally.

She is the lady whose house Joanna was supposed to be selling, as she is an estate agent. The same lady that offered to look after Alfie anytime, after he ran into her house during Halloween trick or treating 🤨

I can't stand the Joanna character! She really riles me up.

Just watched half of E3 and have given up, tbh. She's too annoying and the whole plot is pretty ridiculous.

And (I'm prepared to be deleted, flamed, called all sorts of names here) but I did think Alfie was a little girl 😬

The nightmares she keeps having has got to have something to do with her obsession with Sally McGowan perhaps?

She seems very desperate now to vindicate herself from accusing Sonia of being her, that she has now targeted Kaye(?) She did this after the reporter fed her a tidbit about Sally having a child, knowing that she'd go snooping for more.

I watched all 3 today as can’t watch during the week.

I actually thought Jos mum’s partner was the killer at one point but agree she looks too old.

Good theory it’s the mum and she was discovered hence the house fire, dad leaving and would explain the choice of graffiti for Alfie on the school photo.

Her half brother Seth has got in contact so perhaps he knows and he set up the local house owners forum?

Does Liz have a room at Jo’s mums house and a studio/shop? What artist can afford that! It does not look as if she ahs made much progress on either picture. Would her mum not know that the father went to Canada and had another family, obviously does not share Jo’s curiosity . Getting slow and dull.

So Joanna now thinks the woman who said her daughter was in Canada or New Zealand but is actually in Denmark , is Sally McGowan . And she was even questioning her about it, she is unreal!

I can't figure out if she's meant to be annoying , but she really, really is . I think the writers made a mistake there , I just want a button to press and make her disappear .
