What are the pitfalls

No way would I let 2 young women spend half a million on a 2 bed council flat. It's a colossal mortgage on a terrible property.
And what is Kirsty thinking with those first 2 properties. They're miles away from his spec.

They’d be mad to pick the Nunhead flat over the Blackheath one. Blackheath is such a lovely part of London.

That's more like what I would expect from a £1m house - a heated outdoor pool 👏

Service charges, usually leasehold as the Council owns the freehold, capital works - LA are not very competitive when they tender for things like new roof, windows, lifts etc so the leaseholders in the block (ie those that buy) end up with huge bills, far in excess of what you’d pay normally.

Yeah this house is better. Lots of potential too.

This last flat is on a nice development - I know this area well. I think they want a trendier area though. Nunhead and Brockley have a different vibe to Blackheath.

I think these two could get a much better place for their budget.

3 beds and a garden winner

I wonder why they were so focused on ex LA/ 1960s flats. They could have got a prettier Victorian maisonette type flat for that price surely.
