Do people actually give spoilers on property shows, so that you have to tell them not to?

The series is available all at once to subscribers so I guess itโ€™s saying donโ€™t discuss episodes not shown on broadcast TV?

I was a bit surprised the Yorkshire couple bought a 2 bed in the end, as they said they wanted to start a family.

I was also. It was way under their budget too.

Theyโ€™d be mad to turn down this Northwich house.

It's utterly bonkers though. They want to be in or close to Sale, so they're shown a house in Northwich. That's just making tv programmes, not actually helping anyone. Northwich isn't even within the Greater Manchester district, it's way into Cheshire.

I thought this. Though it looked like a pretty house with a decent garden and maybe room to extend. I guess if they have no children yet then a 4 bed is a bit excessive. They could have one child in a 2 bed then maybe move in the future.

I actually disagree with this - I think it was showing them just how far from Sale theyโ€™d have to be to have the equivalent house to their rental so it was of use as it forced them to decide between house size and location.

Turmerictolly · 02/10/2025 14:12

I donโ€™t know the Manchester area but it sounds like Northwich is very different from Sale? I think she was worried about uprooting from their sonโ€™s school - it probably would have been a much longer journey, no local friends etc. Phil was also trying to get them to be realistic- champagne taste, beer money.

The house they bought was a good compromise I guess.

deeahgwitch · 02/10/2025 18:03

I thought the couple who wanted to remain in Sale were daft not to consider the first house in Sale. It had potential in the future to extend. Their son was only 13, they could save for a few years and then renovate. Their son would be close to his school and friends and they would be close to friends too.

I watch at TV space, occasionally I'll binge something but I prefer watching once a week. Get so annoyed when people post spoilers (someone did in the Handmaid's Tale thread).

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/10/2025 22:23

I rem you saying that @xSideshowAuntSallyXx about hmt

i was late to watching that but luckily didnโ€™t really hear any spoilers

Agree. It had all they wanted

but they were used to bigger

bit to get bigger they needed to move 30mins away from his school. Which wasmadness

but showed as the name says. Itโ€™s location over size of property

@Blondeshavemorefun someone keeps hinting at spoilers on other threads, saying they've seen what's going to happen and it's really sad. It stops me going on them. I don't understand what people don't get about not posting spoilers.

Anyway back to Location. I liked the house the dog couple eventually bought, lovely little cottage. Think maybe the idea of the big future proof house was what they thought they should be buying not what they wanted to be buying.

Horrible house in Surrey. Definitely not a Greenwich vibe.

Yeah - he was quite clear he wanted character. Really not the house for him.

Young people donโ€™t seem to mind the whole 1960s architecture. Bizarre.

Turmerictolly · 08/10/2025 20:26

These two need to see lots and lots of flats so they can compare a bit more. This flat is not a good deal plus why donโ€™t they ever point out the pitfalls of buying an ex LA property.

Turmerictolly · 08/10/2025 20:27

This isnโ€™t going to work either Kirsty - he wants Georgian with shutters, wooden floors, farrow and ball!
