@Namechangeonemillionandoneif Phil sees Kat being disrespected by Joel, he would definitely do something...or maybe wait till Sharon is back! Sharon would be exactly the sort of woman Joel is contemptuous of, I think.

I know they have jumped the shark now showing rain. We’ve not had rain like that in the east end for months!

I didn't see Sharon! I like how they used the sunshine and rain to show happy/sad, good/bad kind of thing. But don't get how they can meet like that?

God help Joel when Sharon returns. No way will she tolerate his disrespectful, misogynistic and evil behaviour.

I'm not sure what Sharon can do, she hasn't seen any evidence of his wrongdoings. And he may well be charming towards her.

I was surprised when they had Joel say "I'm not scared of Ravi" because I would have thought Ravi was just the sort of 'proper man' Joel would admire.

hope It’s okay to join too? I’ve heard that Zoe could be Joel’s mum? Max and Zoe coming back so new storylines there- are they connected?

Joel's mother is called Cleo has contacted Ross to say she is getting married. So it doesn't seem like it's Zoe.

Antony is returning and I think Zoe will have a connection with him.

I’m sure Sharon will confront Joel about how he’s being with Vicky, but he wouldn’t listen to any woman, not even the formidable Sharon. What someone - man - needs to do is manipulate him by subtly ingratiating themselves with him to find out his weak spot then hit the vile creep where it hurts. But everyone in the square are too thick for that to occur to them.

It was only a few weeks back that Ravi held Joel hostage and locked him in the walk in fridge (when he thought Vicki stole his money) and Joel was terrified of him then. But in true EE style that has been forgotten.

South do you think Vicki would admit it to Sharon? Both she and Ross are very keen on putting their heads in the sand.

Sharon has beef with Zoe over Dennis and Den doesn't she? Which must be why she's in the promo.

Karen Henthorn (Nigel's wife Julie) is starring in a new 6 part series "The Girlfriend" so Nige will probably be safely ensconced up in Scotland for a few weeks (until Phil goes up to visit him in time for Steve McFadden to do his annual Panto)

Zoe and Sharon won’t get on. Trouble is nobody will remember why, I hope they make it clear what went on ! ( I know I can’t remember the gory deets myself that much, I know it was to do with Dirty Den and so on)

I saw the new promo on the one show last night. As soon as I saw Sharon, I knew there'd be some drama with her and Zoe. Poor Sharon is having a year of ghosts from her past, Angie, Chrissie, Vicky and, now Zoe.
I liked the promo, it had a nostalgic feel to it.

70s I read that Nigel and Julie are back next week with all their worldly belongings!

Just rewatched it as couldn't see Sharon before. Was she with Patrick, as I was more focused on Stacey and Freddie in the top half of the screen. That's why I didn't she her!

It was a horrible storyline. Dirty Den slept with Zoe to try and get her pregnant so she could pass the baby off as Dennis’ and break him and Sharon up. Zoe would have been barely 18 or so I think. I can’t remember if she fell pregnant and had a miscarriage but it all came out it in the end.

Ohh , well Eastenders is filmed weeks ahead and The Girlfriend is already in the bag and ready for release on 10/09.25 ( I don;t know how big a role she plays , from the trailer she's the girlfriend's mum)

Three chickens .......well they;ll need to keep those feathery ones safe , London is hoaching with urban foxes . Maybe if they end up as lunch Julie will fly into an utter rage at Philth - or Nigel might think he's back is Scotland let let them run about the yard ? <DuffDuff carnage>

Sharon/Dennis/Zoe/Dirty Den storyline was grim.
Dirty Den was pushing Zoe and Dennis together as he didnt want his Princess leaving the country with Dennis . There's no blood relation with Sharon+Dennis , but Dennis was his son and Sharon had always been the No1 person in his life.

Zoe and Dennis was not a good match , she hung about like a shit filled nappy , whingeing.

I loved the den Dennis era ,such a shame they both got written out
The characters seemed so much stronger,and you got to know their personality better ,back in the day .
I'm loving Oscar and joel storylines ,hope they don't leave ..I read they are writing Joel out ,he's only just arrived,so I don't know why they would when he's such a good actor

That would be fan speculation about Joel leaving.

I hated the Zoe-Dennis-Den-Sharon era too. Really grubby. It certainly did Zoe no favours at all.

Dennis was a fabulous character and Nigel Harman was brilliant playing him, but my main memory of EE at that time is there being too many gangsters.

I've just watched Terry have dawn's husband Jace killed,with billy hiding in the shower ..don't really like the violent episodes..ruby's dad ,can't remember his name ,was a violent man didn't enjoy those episodes either
