I do think this daft Suki reversal is due to Balvinder being in Strictly. Freddie was written out for months on end when Bobby did Strictly, and Jay barely featured when Jamie did it.

Heather was diagnosed last October and finished her treatment in July, but I'm sure she'd be happy to have some time off. Her latest Insta post shows her on holiday.

The line from Joel about when a female starts her period, she’s ready to reproduce made me feel sick. My friends 8yo started hers a few months ago.

the flat that Ravi is in.. isn't that where Suki used to live? The one where Ranveer was bumped off?

Was the flat the Ravi was in the one that the panesar kids had originally and then Suki joined them in? It was a bloody nice kitchen etc

I'm surprised to say it but I like Joel's storyline

That was where Ravi was living. It's a basement flat, isn't it? 2 bedrooms I think. Not sure how Ravi, Priya, Avani, Nugget AND Vinny all fit in there though 🤨 And yes, it's the same place where Ranvir was killed.

The basement flat was last week - now they're in a newly refurbished property with its own door - so not a flat.

I couldn't work out which flat it was, but Ravi lives apart from the other Panesars, Nugget and Avani used to go between him and Priya.

I loved the scenes with Priya and Avani, they were quite touching.

The Honey scenes had the problem of so many storylines now, it felt unearned. We hear about the possible 'promotion' then ten minutes later she's furious she won't get it and resigns.

I am getting a bit concerned about the Joel storyline. They are highlighting an important issue, but what is the exit strategy. There is no one Joel will listen to as he thinks everyone opposing him is either a weak man like his dad, or a woman and obviously you don't listen to women. I suppose his filming will eventually be outed and he'll end up in Young Offenders, and we'll hear no more about him.

he is a brilliant young actor.. i want to throttle his character.

my annoyance with the storyline is how... useless/airy fairy everyone else is being about his behaviour.

and Vicki crying while he insults her, his dad buying him a new laptop - thats so not the appropriate response to a psycho in the making

That Joel kid.... I wanted to reach into my TV and give him a slap. I am interested to see where the storyline is going though. Obviously about the incel movement. There have been killings due to it in real life.
Also, the 90s called and their want their curtains back. He looks like he should be on a cover of Smash Hits.

A few people mentioned the likeness to "Joe 90s" when he arrived (the curtains) and it makes me wonder if they are going for a mental health storyline. His name is one letter different from Joe (who was schizophrenic). I thought on Thursday that Joel may be showing signs of psychosis.

I know the main storyline is 'incel' but this type of radicalisation can prey on people with existing mental health problems.

But in any case Joel is repeatedly committing crimes against women, and Ross needs to get his head out of his backside. He should have used the evidence on the laptop to report it to the police.

It is a bit weird being so keen moving into a flat where you bumped someone off too. You would think you'd want to put that to the back of your mind.

I think the Joel storyline is pretty good, but it's a bit too like Adolescent. It's a bit more believable I think, well at the moment anyway.

I think we were told that Joel’s mum was getting married. I wonder what the significance of that will be?

It is Albert Square. You would think anyone who suffered a huge loss there due to murder etc would up and leave and never come back. But they stay, or go away for a bit and come back 😆

I really liked how Priya was so sympathetic to Avani, and smacked Suki! I hate violence of any sort in real life, but am now looking forward to Ravi dangling Joel off a bridge very soon (or worse). Maybe he will also do the same to Ross, I would also enjoy that!

I agree that Joel is a great actor, so convincing and he runs ring around all the adults that usually are in charge, such as Kat, Stacey, etc. I'd like to see him clash with Phil in particular now as that would be two brilliant actors in the scene and Phil is a match for most.

Ooo now you've said it a few two hander scenes between Steve and Joel's actor would be engaging!

Not sure how it would work with the storyline

I’m pretty sure the actor who plays Joel was in ‘not going out’ playing Anna and tobys son Jack. Although he has a different surname now.
