I thought the interaction with Anthony and Zoe was sweet- she looked pleased to see him and not like she was hiding something so I don’t think think she had his baby? Maybe I missed something?

The Ibiza keyring will have been sent with the baby to his adoptive home, and it will turn up again as an identifier when the 19 year old son arrives.

I thought all the chat when Zoe was lying there with a gunshot wound was really forced and plotty. The 999 call handler would have stayed on the line and advised Antony what to do, but we can't have reality intruding!

I’m underwhelmed with this Zoe thing that’s transpired this week. Of course Max had to be in the same bar as Zoe when he first met her (there were flashback scenes in today’s episode to a year ago)…it’s not like there’s many bars in London 🙄 I don’t get why she’d kill the scammer perv, although he probably isn’t dead. Is this really the oh so terrible thing that she doesn’t want to tell Kat? It all feels a lazy and ridiculously contrived way to bring Max back and give a reason to Zoe to stay in the square.

I do think the glimpse of Max in last night's episode was done well. No one suspected it at all.
Other than that, it's all abit strange. Admittedly I've not watched for a while but the flashbacks/zoe plot makes no sense. I'm sure I've not missed anything.

I have been watching since 1985 and it doesn't make sense to me either!

I hope they are not going to dwell on the past too much, Kat has moved on and I don't want her going back into self-destruct mode.

Also - it’s stupid that Max is about to launch a vendetta against Zoe for a lousy £5k.

One of the laughable fan theories now is that the father is George, because of the Ibiza keyring…even though George’s bar was in Marbella which isn’t anywhere near Ibiza.

Sorry, just popped on to say - can we acknowledge how weird it was that after seeing Zoe tell Max in the bar that she has no kids we cut to them in bed post shag with Max declaring ‘so you have got kids’

I'm sad that stacey is bowing out for a bit 🥺, her and max finally being together wouldve been good to watch imo

It sounded like the scene was being set for her departure going by what she was saying while sitting in the hospital with Jean.

And yet still stomping around the square acting like he's got the moral high ground. I wish Jack had accidentally shot himself. I don't know what Denise is supposed to see in him. He's such an awful person.

I've just watched today's episode. I agree South it feels so lazy and contrived.

Why was Zoe running all over Europe and refusing to see Kat? Because she owed Max £5k? (he said he didn't want it back anyway). Because she lamped a random bloke? Because she put her baby up for adoption 19 years ago? Does she not know half of Walford have the same and/or worse? Kat wouldn't care about any of it.

It makes no sense. A real let down.

It does seem likely though as a PP said that Zoe is now going to replace Stacey in several ways, including Max-way.

I was wondering if Antnee is the father because the surviving baby did not look fully white (although only saw his hand/arm). And when he was tending to Zoe's wounds he looked shifty and very awkward when she asked him if he had kids.

On the other hand she said the baby was the product of 'bad blood' after she gave birth, which suggests the father is a wrong'un and that doesn't fit with Sainted Antnee.

@Shellingbynight I agree, none of the things Zoe has done would cause any of the Slaters to so much as raise an eyebrow: give up a baby, smash someone over the head...they have all done similar and worse. It also doesn't make sense that she is so desperately in need of cash. Who does she owe it to because Max is not asking her for the £5k back. Who is this 'enemy' pursuing her this money??

Or why didn't Max say, "ok you've killed the geezer so give me my money back"

I had the impression that max wants his money ? Although it’s all a bit confusing.
she was working abroad for a time share place at one stage , but that’s been forgotten ( unless that’s why she was in the bar after work!)
I admit I didn’t watch it properly really today.
Phil has been ripped off by others on numerous occasions and let them get away with it! Lol ( Alfie springs to mind)

But Max's latest messages to her were saying "I have the necklace for you and I can bring it to you" So it doesn't sound as if he is chasing her for money?

What I do not understand is when Zoe called him at the end of the episode his name came up on her phone to show she was calling 'Max' so she obviously has his name and number stored. Why didn't the text messages show the sender as 'Max'. When Kat and Stacey were reading the messages there was no name displayed.

Maybe Max called from a different unknown number?

Like Jack should have taken the bullets out that gun, Zoe should have picked up that envelope of money.

And as well as the friendly message from Max about the necklace, he texted 'if you need money I can send that too'. And when she rang he said 'have you missed me'. So he was on good terms and not pursuing her for money.

I agree it doesn't make sense his name wasn't shown in the earlier texts. Plot reasons.

I didn't think about Zoe picking up the money, but of course she should have!
