Rob Brydon hosts as contestants are driven around Europe in a blacked out bus, trying to guess where they are. I’ve seen clips of the US Version, it might be good!

I think they are in Palmanova (Italy).

If correct, it's about the same distance from where the Croatian guesses were as Venice and Ashvin with a guess half way between Venice and Rome will hopefully be gone.

Nick is the only person I want to win. Can't stand how they are treating Darren like a baby but I wonder if he's acting like he is to get them to give him the free passes and info etc.

That was where the market place was but they travelled after that didn’t they.

After the Daren debacle it probably was best not to dwell on it. Greengrocer...hardware...

If they are in Venice I think either Claire or Ashvin will be gone, even with Nick being moved

So annoying to end it like that. I’m not sure that Nick will go. I think it’s Venice and I think Ashvin will be further away than 250km (he frankly deserves to go anyway, as very weak player). Everyone will know Josh had the power and if Nick doesn’t go he can spin it as getting rid of someone out of the alliance, if he has got rid of Nick then he can still tell others that he’s eliminated the threat. However I think Nick will think Josh did move him and there will be less trust.

On a more fundamental note, do they get told where they were after the person leaves, ie do they get to be reset on their starting point?

Oh did they? I don't think I pay enough attention to the actual game. Oops.
My daughter and I spend most of it talking about the actual players and their game play etc.

Darren was useless in that game. I’d have been raging if I was paired with him.

Yes he could probably have followed instructions very well as a taxi driver but couldn’t give them at all.

I think if Josh really wanted to get rid of Nick he should have quietly shared more clues with Claire and Ashvin so they also put their X close to Venice. But then if he didn’t want to share info with them in the next round it would have been awkward.

They will all guess Josh had the power to move an X so, depending who goes, Josh may have to try and convince people there must have been a secret challenge to win that power and someone else had it. I think Nick going would be a big loss to the game but they all think he is a threat. From the maps I think it will be Claire or Ashvin leaving though. Hopefully not Claire. But they were told the market square had a massive Italian flag and then they didn’t put their X in Italy.

And you can get a bus to Venice. There’s a square called Piazzale Roma on the edge of Venice where there is a bus station and buses from the airport take you there. Researched it this week.

And no they don’t get told where they are before they leave again.

Yes that's what I thought. They've put an intetesting bit into a fairly boring show and then made it less interesting!

Didn't like that twist to move an opponent 250km at all, didn't feel very earned for carrying some wine glasses.
Agree, seems a bit harsh. I mean Sweaty Betty Ash dropped them in five seconds.

Yeh, didn't seem able to look at the photo properly. That poor bloke getting dragged around by the arm as Claire tried different stalls!

Claire’s face when she was trying to get that man to go to the right stall! When she was speaking to the camera afterwards you could feel how irritated she was with Daren. I still like Daren, but he was useless at that task.
I was surprised that one of them didn’t know the word ‘ pinny ‘ or what it meant.

He said it was a checked pinny. It was striped, and when she didn’t know the word pinny, which is quite old fashioned and regional, wouldn’t you change to apron?

Daren was so frustrating. Why didn’t he say that he didn’t know what the stall was selling but there were boxes of something, surely he could see that much.

I realize my age when I know certain words that DS2 doesn’t know ( like pinny) he would struggle with this too!

@Choux On getting a bus into Venice I think Nick’s point was not about public transport. I think he meant that Venice has two areas, old Venice and new Venice, and that the production company wouldn’t be able to drive the X bus into Old Venice (streets too narrow or some similar reason). So it was impossible for Old Venice to be Destination X.

He said the pinny was black and white as well when it looked grey and white. Must admit, we did say "Pinny!" when he said it as you just don't hear them called that anymore.

I'm mostly worried about Judith leaving; she's just starting to get into the swing of playing- did anyone see if her x was definitely nearer Venice than Claire's? Although I don't want Claire to go either!

I’m sure it’s Venice - the Venetians conquered huge parts of Croatia (Dalmatia) so I think that’s where that might come in

They did also say there were red herrings, which I think is a little unfair, and the Croatia stuff could be that.

I guess (and kind of hope) that Nick will stay, suspect Josh of moving his x. Josh will deny. Ashvin leaves. Judith and Claire share where they and Ashvin guessed with Nick, showing that Nick would still have been nearer even if his x moves. Daren now distrusts Nick re him
not sharing the Venice clue and we have two alliances of three - Nick, Judith and Claire; Josh, Sasha and Daren. Would make it interesting.

I don’t understand if there is actually a difference between red herrings and the actual destination - is the destination arbitrary or is it indisputable? I like the programme but don’t understand the game!

This is what I think is so unfair about the red herrings. It could be the real answer, they just can’t tell.

The continuity announcer just said that this time is the first time they will all get to see where they are.
