As I say, this is the countdown to the end, now we're in the last week of the series. I think it finishes on 4th Aug... Just over a week away.

No clear winner(s) at the moment really, quite a few unlikeable contestants, and lots of arguments and discord! I'm almost looking forward to this series ending to be honest! 😆

Harry's definitely going to choose Shakira in the recoupling and I suspect Blu will choose Yasmin to try and stay in the game 😬 It could be time to say good bye to Helena and Jamie in a friendship couple if there's a vote shortly after?

What choice does she have though as there’s noone else for her to partner up with. As long as she doesn’t fall for his charm, then no harm in coupling up with him.

Just to pick up from the other thread on the subject of Emily's niceness or not, it's hard for us to judge and I certainly don't think anyone condones Toni's boo-hoo moment, but overall it doesn't tend to be the really nice people in life who go around saying how nice they are. Meg is a prime example, aghast at how anyone could have a bad word to say about her when she's 'nice to everyone'. Whereas the likes of Yasmin have the humility to not expect the public to like her at all, which conversely makes her a nicer more likeable presence. It's like the people who push themselves as leaders often being the very worst people for the job. So whether Emily's nice or not, the way she bigged herself up for being so nice was off-putting in itself and it's conversely refreshing for Shakira to own it when she's been bitchy. That's my take on it anyway.

Winners-wise, I'm fearing Mustard and Meg might end up getting the numbers after all, if everyone is spread across voting for the other couples. Maybe one clear frontrunner from the Cache/Toni, Yasmin/Jamie, Megan/Con, or Ty/Angel pack* will come through as the clear strategic vote to make sure Mustard's masterplan doesn't ultimately pay off and make them unbearable. I don't want them or anyone hated, but I think it would suck if they won after being such an awful example of a LI relationship all season - no initial spark together then killing whatever spark each other had with others to conform to a joyless 'boyfriend and girlfriend' schtick that seems dull at best or fake and toxic at worst.

*I'm not even including Shakira and Harry as can't get my head around that yet, but even if they are back in a couple, friendship or otherwise, they'd probably split the vote even more, which is risky.

Totally agree @pinkdelight. I said it on the other thread, there’s something off about someone who highlights their own niceness all the time - usually they’re the opposite character trait to what they’re claiming to be (Georgia & loyal springs to mind!!)

You could choose to leave, but if the producers wanted you to stay or you wanted to stay in the villa for the last week with your mates, you'd roll with it and sleep outside maybe or with a pillow between you, something to make sure it went no further than friendship. I think she'd probably go with it for the final week but try to keep those barriers right up if she knows what's good for her. Which she does but god, at 22 I was v susceptible to terrible exes so who knows... ?

Blu is DEFINITELY going to choose Yas. I find Blu creepy with anger simmering under the surface.

No they can’t. They’ve done this sort of thing on past series when they’re coupling up for the first time. But iirc only on episode 1.

My memory is failing - how does it work in this last week then, if Blu picks Yas and therefore fucks up her chance of winning with Jamie, surely that’s not fair?? Has that kinda thing happened before? Where a twonk like Blu is still in at the end (thru priducer intervention!!) and can fuck up good couples at will? Seems like whenever I’ve watched before it’s been more settled by this point and couples can win or lose on their own merits. But this way there’s no mechanism for good couples to reunite in time, unless we get a late vote for fave individuals, which I doubt there’s time for??

Gosh I feel quite ill at ease about all the implications. Any reassurance welcome! Can’t we just get Blu out?!

On Emily, I think she was the best of a bad bunch in terms of bitchiness, aside from Billykiss who I never saw engage with anything. She had an unpleasant side but it was nothing compared to what we’ve seen from the other women, and we’re all capable of being unpleasant (just read back through these threads 😂).

When all is said and done, I don’t think any of the girls are bad people. I’d probably go for a drink with any of them bar Helena who I think is unnecessarily competitive with other women and untrustworthy. I don’t think she deserves better than Harry tbh, she’s just as sneaky.

Side note but glad the lovely Giorgio can watch his sister absolutely representing tonight! Can’t believe he’s gone and they’re arguing over absolute boys in there. 🙈
