I don't think many of the girls have been particularly nice this year . Toni has been my least favourite. I find her manipulative, bitchy and lacking self awareness. I think she's the type of person, that if she likes you then she can be a great friend to you, but if she doesn't like you then her mean side comes out. I was shocked with the way she treated Emily, who was absoutley lovely.

I think yeah, Harry wants Shakira, until he gets her...... Then he will start to look at other girls, and have a wandering eye.

I have met/known 'men' like this before. Want what they haven't got, then when they get it, they don't want it anymore. He is very immature and flaky for a 'man' of 30. Even Conor has the measure of him.

I have to agree with this. ^ Very few likeable contestants at all this year. I did like Toni to start with, but think she is bitchy and sarcy and eye-rolly now. I am indifferent to Shakira (sometimes like her, sometimes don't,) and I dislike Meg a LOT.

Also don't like Megan, and Helena I am indifferent to. I have had moments where I dislike her, and think she's a bit of a bitch, then I have moments when I think she's quite funny and pretty OK. She definitely deserves more than the nobhead that is Harry though. He has NOTHING going for him. He's not good looking, he has stupid hair, he is boring, he is flaky, he is unfunny, he is immature, and he treats her like shit.

I do quite like Yasmin, which is odd as I really disliked her at first. And I liked the Welsh girl (Emily?)

Dislike most of the boys. Conor is OK. I did like Boris. Dejon is vile. Harry I loathe, Blu is a nob, and I'm indifferent to the rest.

I'm now wondering if Yasmin flirting with Blu is all a plot to make us all think Nooo, then when she goes back to Jamie,we are all relieved and vote her and Jamie as the winners. Probably thinking a bit deep here!

Oh yes, I totally agree re Shakira. He has an ability to look into a woman’s eyes with those piercing green eyes and make them feel like they’re the only one in the world for him… and you can see he actually means it in that moment. Then do the same thing with another woman less than 24 hours later. It’s quite perplexing, fascinating even how he doesn’t seem to be able to learn.

I don’t think there has ever been such a divide in opinions about some of the contestants before. It feels like there is Team Shakira, Toni and Yasmin and then Team Helena and Meg and both sides are utterly convinced that their opinion is the right one.

Personally, I am loving Shakira, Toni and Yas and just feel totally indifferent to the other girls. I just feel like they come across a lot more genuine, emotionally articulate and sorry to say but even more intelligent in general than the others. As for the comments all over Facebook about them being mean girls and witches, I just can’t see it myself. Yeah they’ve said some bitchy comments but to be honest, I could totally see myself and my besties having these kind of debriefs with each other and saying some not very nice things about people who have hurt us or just pissed us off. It’s the stuff you say that you think won’t ever get repeated or shared in front of the people it’s about. Anyone who says they don’t talk shit behind someone’s backs I’m sorry I just refuse to believe it. I’m not a confrontational person, I’d rather have a little bitch and a vent to my mates and then move on and distance myself than actually confront someone and get into a row and waste my energy. I feel like Shakira and Toni do that between themselves and probably are nice to the others faces, purely for an easy life of living together in the villa. I really don’t think it’s that deep but the others are so offended by it yet do the exact same thing about them.

Yeah Jim ^ If I had to pick a side, I have to say I'd pick Shakira, Toni, and Yasmin. I loathe Meg, and Helena can be quite annoying sometimes. As you say, the other 3 seem quite authentic. Meg's sour half confused/half annoyed face that could turn milk sour does my head in. 🙄 She is pretty when she's smiling, but when she's annoyed/being sarcastic, she has a look that is really annoying.

But lots of people on here saying couples are fake, that they’re playing a game, that they’re creating strategies just to win. And I’m saying isn’t that what it’s all about, so why slate people for being fake? Every single one of them in there want to win, and will do what it takes to get there. Maybe Dijon is faking it, but he’s just playing the game.

I don't know how anyone can claim Toni isn't self-aware. She makes mistakes when she follows her heart (Harrison) but is highly aware of it. She seems completely in tune with every scenario thrown her way, and is always emotionally astute.

How can you say Toni is genuine? She used Cache and made it pretty obvious Harrison was who she wanted. Let’s be honest, had the Harrison situation played out differently, Toni would absolutely have stayed with him. It just seems that Cache was an option, and second choice. I’m not getting why he doesn’t see that. But maybe he’s also playing the game. Maybe he has settled for her because she was voted most popular?

Yeah and that’s what’s so annoying about love island . The ones not being fake being young and making mistakes like Harrison are destroyed by the media condemned by women’s aid and the fake ones meanwhile playing the game saying all the right things are possibly as fake as hell like Emily and Cash. I don’t know whether he was really crying for Tony or his own ego.

I think the producers didn’t focus on Meg and Helena on the grafties because they absolutely anialated them on film night after Casa. That entire episode just centred around them and it was a lot, and made for very uncomfortable viewing. I get that the producers wanted to divert away from Toni and Shakira who were getting a bit of negativity from the general public. But like you say, we all have our faves in there, and I guess that’s what makes this season so interesting, because there are no obvious winners this time.

But she was very honest with Cache about her feelings for Harrison which he acknowledged on movie night and refused to berate her for it when her clip was shown. I believe her apology to Cache for hurting him was genuine but yes her heart was with Harrison at the time and he messed her about by giving her false hope which lead to her choosing him at the recoupling.
I think she liked Cache in Casa and enjoyed her time with him whilst Harrison was out of sight and out of mind. But a lot more difficult to suppress feelings when you then have to share a villa with someone again.
And to be honest, Cache was also getting to know Billykiss at one point too so it’s not as if he was moping about pining after Toni being all heartbroken.

It’s interesting because I thought Movie Night also focussed on Shakira and Toni and there was v little of Meg and Helena though it did show Helena slagging Meg off.

It’s definitely been a different and interesting series. Much more polarising than others where most people have been on the same page.

I don’t know if I have been relieved that the misogyny has kind of been exposed or annoyed that it was there in the first place.

I actually think Helena is ok she seems to go with the flow but I can’t stand Meg. I suspect if Meg wasn’t in the villa there wouldn’t be this divided between Meg/helena/angel v shakira & toni.

Actually you have a point that I never thought about before. Shakirah only really bitched about Helena when it was to do with Harry. They seem to have somewhat gotten past that now and are on some sort of friendship level. Nobody seems friends with Meg, not even Helena really as she never stands up for her.

Absolutely love Kai and Sanam but they have said in interviews how disappointed they were with the lack of brand deals after they won! I don't believe anyone in any of the more recent seasons have gone on it to find someone they want to be with long term! For some it has happened by accident.
