Harry is just a loser, in some ways he is as bad as Dejon. He’s full of crap and I don’t believe for a second he didn’t know Shakira felt that way.

I don’t like Helena much but not nice seeing her upset.

Waited weeeeeks for this, and finally Harry's had his comeuppance. I liked the symbolism at the end - he's made his bed, now he's got to lie in it.

Wonder what's going to happen now? The only way he can redeem himself is by lovebombing Shakira - it was always you, blah blah blah. And Shakira still needs a partner... I don't like where this is going 🫣 Patching things up with Helena would be hollow after him saying he seems it as friends vibes, but Harry can seemingly charm a woman to do anything and Helena has the backbone of a jellyfish.

I liked Helena and Shakira briefly coming together at the end to be victorious over Harry. Also thought it was sweet Toni looking out for Harry and saying she doesn't hate him - he's behaved like a total player and the villa must be frosty but no one deserves to be ostracised.

Yas was brilliant at the end, pointing out Meg and D's delusions. Blu was a total PITA begging for screen time and hoisting a million red flags in the process. Thankfully, I doubt he'll last much longer and only exists to be dumped at the next recoupling.

This series has been a huge improvement over recent snoozers. Hoping it goes just as well in the final stretch!

’Dead Famous’ by Ben Elton is primarily a murder mystery based on a Big Brother type house but one thing I loved about it is the cynical (but probably accurate) view of the role of production in reality TV programmes like that,eg how they select snippets of all the footage they have to mould an individual’s character. Definitely worth a read.

I’ll never trust a reaction shot on reality TV, even bake off splices reactions from totally different events for drama.

Given they’d just been shown a multitude of clips of bitching it seemed really unwise to immediately start bitching right after the Grafties.
But even that felt like more misdirection from the awful lads.

I do think Dejon was genuinely surprised at the volume/level of lies from Harry. Even a practiced liar like himself was taken in.

She’s been awful to the other girl with the exception of her Minions. Why on earth would the comfort her? She’s caused so much upset and takes responsibility for none of it. She’s hoped all of her snide digs have gone under the radar but we have all seen it.
We are seeing different things but watching the same show. That’s fine, we can disagree!

It was nice to see a little bit of solidarity between Shakira and Helena last night. In her pursuit of the villa menfolk, Helena has bitched, schemed, enabled, embellished, and out down other women. But after watching last night, I think she seemed to understand not just how she'd been treated badly, but also that she's perhaps not treated others so well in her quest to bag her man/men. And as much as I don't think she's come across well overall, I really felt for her after that total humiliation.

Meg on the other hand, she's come off looking even worse in my opinion. Just a really nasty piece of work who takes no accountability for her own part in anything, whilst throwing stones at others. And I don't buy that it's that result of producer manipulation. On the contrary, viewers have seen plenty of unpleasant behaviour from Meg that is then being censored from the other islanders for some reason, which is clearly not what they're doing for all. I'm surprised anyone could fail to see that- even Meg and Helena fans must have noticed how M seemed to give not two hoots about H last night. If her and calculating Dejon are the next couple to go, it'll be 4 weeks too late.

Surely boring is better than manipulative and controlling, which is exactly what Mustard is? I love that Yasmin's got his number, despite being in the villa for quite a while now, so not being privy to everything we've seen as viewers. I'm not keen on her fake sex kitten persona or her contant nodding and repeating back what's said to her, but she's clearly quite switched on and very perceptive.

No because mentally he’s not in a good place. You dont have to like what he’s done, and I don’t, but his mental health has taken a knock.

I'm guessing the many girls whose heads he's messed with have also taken a bit of a knock mentally as well.

I know some are saying that Mustard was a bit shocked however apart from a few embellishments he was there for most of it ! Egging Harry on … last night was totally trying to disassociate himself from Harry which probably will sting Harry the most !

The problem for Harry’s type of personality is they don’t learn from their negative emotional experiences. He is actually genuinely good at taking feedback as it is given to him. He rarely gets defensive but he never incorporates the feedback or acts on it. I don’t think he absorbs helpful shame which would allow him to adjust his behaviour.

Found Blu uncomfortable viewing for some reason. He reminded me of a bloke coming home from the pub with a bit of Dutch courage and picking an argument. It’s frightening how some of these boys have reacted this series to getting their ego bruised a little and getting knocked down a peg or two by a woman.

It did appear staged... however, I'd have blanked him too if I'd just heard him say he could practically click his fingers and I'd come running. Actually... I probably wouldn't have blanked him, but perhaps Shakira has more class than me 😳

Yeah, I’ve taught plenty of teens with this kind of behaviour. You can have “restorative conversations” until you’re blue in the face and they’ll look engaged and even remorseful but they’ll come back into your next lesson and do exactly the same thing, downplay it as it’s happening in front of peers, and behave exactly the same in another private conversation, repeat…

Does anyone think Shakira would get back with him? Only way it might happen is if they naturally get close again slowly and on better terms with her taking the initiative .i just can’t see her with anyone else at this point. Although I hope Harry will go in a recoupling.

Totally agree and I don't really know what the answer is for helping people like this. Harry is really to the extreme though. I'd love to know what his family life has been like and their reactions to his behaviour.

Maybe Harry had no intention of getting together with anyone and just going home to Emma. All staged.

She seems clued up enough to realise he'll never change, which I think is amazing for a 22 year old. Hope she keeps to her word.

Well if she does, that would put to bed all the fawning of her on here as being switched on and intelligent. He’s not gaslighting or pretending he’s something he isn’t. He’s showing everyone in there who he is. Every single day. So if someone actually chooses to go into a relationship with him, they deserve all the fallout that’s coming. If he’s like this on the inside, he would be an absolute nightmare on the outside. He’s got a lot of growing up to do.

I found it interesting when his mum was on After Sun ages ago. Can’t remember the exact comment but it was definitely seeing Helena as an enabler when explaining why he behaves that way - rather than it coming from within him and being a him problem. She did call him a child though, I think.

Tbh, most of the guys on there are the same as Dijon, but just mask it better. I think Jamie is the biggest player of them all. He went into Casa having watched on the outside Yas’s popularity growing. He made a beeline for her. Exactly the same with Blue. There’s no way Yas would be his type on the outside.

My current concern is that the non-M&D votes will be split - across T&C, Y&J, M&M, T&A(!) - so unless the numbers in each camp are significantly different, M&D could still take the win and be vindicated for their/his strategies.

I think if staged, Emma would have been a lot more chilled in there. She looked furious every time Harry opened his mouth, and slated him pretty much all the time. It was ironic that she called Helena out all the time on being a mug, whilst she herself implied she thought she and Harry would get back together one day. She’s making that decision knowing the hell he put her through for five years, yet still dumb enough to go back there.
