I haven’t watched any tennis since Wimbledon - I’m dreading having to navigate Sky again (although BBC are still in my bad books!)

Phew! Not being able to cut and paste the title or link it was really annoying me

Sky is annoying me- though it was nice to see Casper, even if they kept flipping to other matches with no warning.

Hello! I tried watching some tennis yesterday lunchtime but every time I looked up they were showing a different match, it was very confusing.

The best thing to do is watch it on the RB Chessie if you can find it! That way you avoid them flicking to all the other matches.

I am wondering why German fans are singing Let’s Go in English to a German player. Sascha would not approve!

Yes, I will do that in future Jane. It’s just so annoying that they can’t just stick to one match.

I know and I’m never sure whether the main match is on the RB anyway!

Not particularly surprised about the Ons news. I think she was keen to start a family so I won’t be surprised to hear a pregnancy announcement at some point. I’m just sad that she doesn’t yet have the Slam title she deserves. Hopefully whatever happens during her time out she can come back stronger.

Yes, this is probably her motivation. She's been married 10 years now and put off pregnancy to win a big title. I don't think she wants to put it off much longer.
It is a real shame- she had such big chances- but I hope whatever happen, she is happy in her future.

I feel for Ons. She seems to put a lot of pressure on herself. First Arabic woman etc etc. At the end of the day tennis is just entertainment, she’s not curing world hunger. And she has many years of her life ahead of her.

Ice I agree- there is a lot of pressure, and a bit of competitiveness (from the media) surrounding 'mothers playing tennis' and it's not fair to anyone. What she has achieved is great, what she has done for Arabic women in sport cannot be over stated- but she needs to look after herself. If she has a child and does return - great- if she has a family and doesn't- what she did achieve cannot be taken from her.
