I wouldn't want 2 birthdays. Frankly, I've got to the age where I don't even want 1 birthday (actually, it's been like that for a few years now ).

She's off to Nice with her Gf (her family go every year) I hope dd enjoys it - we haven't been abroad since dd1 was 4. I've made sure she's packed factor 50 sunscreen.

In my head, I am forever 19 - first year I was at uni- my mates from uni -35 years ago-- think the same (although dd1 was 18 because of the August birthday).

But honestly, yes, I loved being 19 .

We've* *been clearing the loft out and there were old postcards and letters (remember them?!!), school reports, old O Level art projects and my old A Level history folders etc. Talk about nostalgia!!

fizzy as (late) teens, we used to drink in the pub where Robert and Mary sometimes went, but we never saw them Before they were famous, The Cure played a few times in the bandstand in the town centre square, so I probably saw them on a Saturday when I was shopping, without realising who they were at the time Robert Smith is a national treasure!

I missed the announcement a couple of days ago that Grigor won't be playing the US Open, bringing an end to a 58 GS streak, going back to the Australian Open in 2011.

kazza I know- it's something even the Big 3 didn't manage.

As a result, Aryna has withdrawn from the Mixed Doubles fiasco event , because she was doing it as a favour to Grigor, because he asked her first. She didn't want to play with anyone else (and has probably realised she would rather have a week off before the 'main' event starts anyway, and mixed doubles should be for the actual doubles players).

I think Carlos or Jannik (if they make the final this weekend) might be ducking out of the event too(if they get to the final) especailly as weather warnings could delay the final in Cincy.
