last thread full and canโ€™t see a new one anywhere

About to watch last nights - sat 12th July Episode e4

OP posts:
hoarahloux · 16/08/2025 19:10

There was a look on someone's face at the end of today's episode that's convinced me who's stealing the morphine. Not saying more as I know people watch it later when it airs.

bizzey · 16/08/2025 19:55

Then why post anything at all ????
If you have got something to say, ..say it later !

Lots of people had 'looks' on their faces....

It's aired now.

I definitely donโ€™t think itโ€™s Jacob. But we didnโ€™t see the pharmacist at all todayโ€ฆ

i really felt for Indy. Bless her.

xSideshowAuntSallyXx · 16/08/2025 21:37

Why can't Faith keep her beak out? She has no proof it's Jacob, all she has is Iain's hunch.

Both of them need to take a very long break. Iain with his hero complex, Faith with her simpering.

Whose grave do we think Flynn was visiting? Could it be the woman he was having the affair with when he first came in?

FurForksSake · 16/08/2025 21:46

I think faith had no choice but to report it as it was to do with so many of her patients.

yes I think it was the woman who died Flynn was visiting, but intrigued!

Well no, she has noticed the patients coming in without adequate pain relief, and the ones she noticed were brought in by Jacob. It's not Iain's hunch, she was the one who brought it up to him in the first place. In the car at the end of two episodes ago. Iain wouldn't even know if she hadn't told him about it.

The anti-Faith thing is getting pretty weird now. I hated the anti-Elle brigade too. It's all "simpering" and "whining".

i kind of got the impression that Flynn was meant to be going to the grave of a child.

The way he was reacting to that very sick girl in Resus and how a point was made about that woman asking Flynn if he had children. He was generally upset and flustered all through the shift, and the sense of urgency and importance of him needing to be at the cemetery at a set time almost implied it was an event, like something meaningful that lots of people were going to and he absolutely had to be there.

It reminded me of my friends who lost one of their children a few years ago and every year on what would have been their daughters birthday the whole family gather at the grave for a special remembrance to her.

It just had that vibe.

Any chance Flynn and his wife could have lost a child at some point?

I may be completely wrong but it just had that vibe.

Sadcafe · 17/08/2025 09:12

Canโ€™t believe casualty is still running, used to enjoy it in the early days, particularly from the fun factor of how unrealistic some of it was( things like the next week psychology referral rather than the actual medical procedures ) but how often can you keep rehashing the car crashes/ explosions/ etc

This is what I thought too.

Something odd about that episide - the documentary-filming style aside (that slight camera shake like it's a handheld camera) All the lingering shots on new characters, i almost wondered if lifeguard was going to be a new regular cast member.

Though we did have reckless-hero-create-a-new-patient from Iain and Jacob. So least thats a double wammy of standard practice for Casualty.

On the Flynn thing, it could very possibly be his child. He was certainly meeting someone though - time wouldn't matter if he was just visiting the grave of the "other woman" from the car crash. But would if he was meeting someone due to an anniversary of their child, not necessarily his wife if you think about him being asked if he had children by the woman with the girl from the water slide as foreshadowing. (Or maybe he was meeting an unknown older child at the grave of his or her mother.)

SoMentallyDrained · 17/08/2025 21:27

Ian is like Mr Benn lately with all his fancy outfits

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 21/08/2025 08:44

I was so frustrated with the Cam storyline - he was trying desperately to do the right thing re the chaperone and first Rida was shit and then his chaperone just walked out in the middle of the procedure!

FurForksSake · 21/08/2025 08:57

Cam did make two silly mistakes, firstly getting very dubious consent for him to do the procedure in a clearly out of it patient and secondly not telling the chaperone to close the bloody curtain and that no, she would not be going anywhere. The chaperone should have had a proper conversation about her role in the debacle and that her being there is not optional.

poor cam though, Rida was useless

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/08/2025 19:59

Iโ€™m way behind as been away. Tho Iโ€™m usually behind anyway so no excuse

Whatever dramatic thing the ending was leading to, will end up with her in the A&E with Jan apologising for being nasty to her and offering her a job and she'll be here forever.

Quoting myself from 3rd August ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ˜‚

It felt like a but of a pint less episode last night, nothing really happened. Is boss man going to quit or have a breakdown, leading to the next instalment of the never ending fight for clinical lead.

Just finished e6. Well done @daffodilandtulip ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

Teddy does have some heart history, I can't remember the details.

Could it be too good to be true pharmacist that's switching meds, and Rash is going to get heartbroken? Surely they're making it too obvious that it's Jacob?

I'd like to quote myself again for another star please.

NoMatch4Me · 23/08/2025 22:18

Omg!! It's Sunny. Poor Rash.

Faith was her usual self-centered self today, glad Iain and Jacob put her back in her place. For a second near the end I thought it was her switching the drugs as she seemed quite jittery.

I'm starting to warm to Cassie, I hope there isn't anymore trauma coming for the poor girl with her birth parents. Likewise with Nicole. I do have a feeling Ngozi is going to end up staying to be with her but send Obi back home, i felt quite sorry for her tonight.

spiderlight · 23/08/2025 22:36

I knew it was going to be Sunny!! Poor Rash has no luck, although I think Rida might still be carrying a torch for him.

What is going on with Cam and those glasses?! ๐Ÿค“

bizzey · 24/08/2025 01:28

Rash and Rida make the loveliest couple ever ๐Ÿ’•!

Much more going on with them than Ian and Faith .

Well done who ever predicted the pharmacy lady for being the morphine stealer .

Interested to know , how far fetched is this storyline ? .

RCBadger · 24/08/2025 03:48

Maybe Nicole and Cassie will turn out to have the same mother or father.

Tarkan · 24/08/2025 04:31

I was really hoping it wasnโ€™t Sunny as that felt so obvious but oh well. I get the feeling we have quite a backstory to come. Disabled parent in need of it rather than for personal use possibly? Personal use is too close to what Faith was doing so surely theyโ€™ll do a different angle this time. If itโ€™s just that or selling it on Iโ€™ll be so disappointed. I did go to school with someone who became a paramedic and ended up in the news for stealing morphine so I did think of that, but I only know the side of the story that was in the papers and I donโ€™t know his reasons or how long it was before it was found out.

Did Dylanโ€™s hair look weird to anyone tonight or was it just me (I did have a couple of drinks before I went home to watch it tonight so it really might have just been me LOL). It just looked like an odd wig at some angles.

Camโ€™s glasses were weird too. I once bought some blue light ones from Poundland when I was having migraines from screens and they looked just like those. They looked really squint on him too which the Poundland ones always did as well. LOL.

NoMatch4Me · 24/08/2025 07:37

My theory is that either Jake or her ex is/was involved with the gang and she's using the hospital drugs to keep them barter some sort of deal with them for safety or whatever. Mainly because I feel that her son has been introduced for a reason and past few episodes have been about the gang seemingly grooming vulnerable teens. Who knows, maybe someone linked to Sunny is actually the ring leader of it all.

I do see a lot more chemistry between Rash and Rida though.

Optimist1 · 24/08/2025 08:21

Yes, @Tarkan , Dylan's hair was appalling. A sort of mini-mullet with those horrible shaved bits above his ears. He strikes me as the sort of person who'd maintain the same hairstyle for their whole life, not venture into different fashions.
