I fear itโ€™s going to be worse than that. I think they are going to now have Stevie with the opoid addiction & Faith will be her saviour.

Perhaps Stevie will murder Faith though and we will get that funeral after all.

Me too!

Same

I suspect we're on the way to Faith relapsing. I bloody hope not though.

Yeah maybe sheโ€™ll find Stevieโ€™s oxycodone in the bin

LondonLady1980 · 24/05/2026 13:31

That was such a boring episode.

bizzey · 24/05/2026 17:39

What doctor would just chuck some Oxycodone straight in the bin !
Everyone knows you dispose of them safely !!

I didn't like the way it focused on Dylan looking at the pub at the end ๐Ÿ˜ž.

Took me over 4 hours to watch that episode today ! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜‚.

I kept getting bored and pausing it !!

Mumdiva99 · 24/05/2026 18:40

I saved them all up and didn't mind it overall. I didn't like the face screens they wore for protection when they thought it was an airborne virus - no one uses those anymore surely. (I know there was a comment about PPE - but not one person has a proper face mask.)
I didn't mind Stevie and Matty - i thought he might be good for her. Until the methadone thing and her on the pain meds. She needs to come clean, admit the mistake and take some time off. Along with Faith.
The estate has dangerous chemicals which have drifted enough to cause chemical injuries....yet they can still dig there. Bit far fetched.
Still, when's it on next because I will be watching.

I really am not enjoying the story to this one at all. This last episode I was so bored DH and I paused it to work out what all the different cereal boxes were in the staff room. We spotted Weetabix, Lidlโ€™s Malt Wheaties (their version of Shreddies), two that said something like crunchy wheat flakes and one that was โ€œhoney wheat oatโ€ or similar. DH thinks one box may have been Ready Brek turned the other way. It ended up way more fun than the rest of that episode. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคฃ

Me too

She was so rude to that other poor mum tonight

Well it was showing how traumatised she was

purpleme12 · 27/05/2026 10:58

daffodilandtulip · 24/05/2026 07:47

I hope we havenโ€™t led up to another focus on Faith, with her sad eyes last night.
And no one going to have a word with Ian about why the guy ended up impaled? If that was the police, thereโ€™d be uproar.

But Ian or the police wouldn't be doing anything wrong by chasing him

He stole his phone so I'm not surprised he was chased

purpleme12 · 27/05/2026 10:58

There would still be a big inquiry if a police chase ended in a life threatening situation

purpleme12 · 27/05/2026 11:01

Oh well that's stupid

What do they expect when someone steals something

purpleme12 · 27/05/2026 11:01

Anyway I didn't think it was boring

InFreeFall · 27/05/2026 11:42

I find a lot of this tranche of characters annoying - teddy and siobhan in particular do some hammy stuff with their faces. However I guess that's what makes it fairly easy viewing.

Noting that I don't pay the strongest attention to the story lines, did anything happen about Rida's hair loss due to stress? It seemed to get thrown in and then I can't remember it being referred to after that.

purpleme12 · 27/05/2026 11:54

I wouldn't call it 'easy viewing'!

No, nothing's been mentioned about Rida's hair loss since

InFreeFall · 27/05/2026 14:37

I think what I meant by easy viewing is that it doesn't usually involve much concentration on my part, given the storylines are fairly predictable.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/05/2026 13:47

Letโ€™s hope he doesnโ€™t relapse after Martyโ€™s

pearl looked black when resuscitated and yes faith is traumatised but also rude to other new mum

teddy needs counselling

impaled man deserved it

hope Stevie confesses it was her

Not even watching todayโ€™s episode on a 6 hour train journey after a 9 hour flight drew me into todayโ€™s episode though it was marginally better than last weeks.

LondonLady1980 · 30/05/2026 20:40

I watched todayโ€™s episode earlier on BBC IPlayer.

Itโ€™s all getting a bit ridiculous isnt it?

Last week Stevie was ODโ€™ing on pain relief because of how much pain she was in with her abdomen/pelvis, but now sheโ€™s gone cold-turkey with no ill effects and can manage quickies in the on-call room with Matty in the middle of a shift?!

And the cheesiness of Faith and Iain leaving the hospital with each of them holding half the car-seatโ€™s handle with everyone there to celebrate ๐Ÿคฎ
(I can definitely see a PND story arising with Faith so I imagine weโ€™ll see Pearl appearing in A&E a lot due to Faith having lots of anxiety about her health).

And what is with Cam befriending that man from the corridor last week and carrying out home visits and planning days out to keep him company? Do the writers actually think nurses do that?

Itโ€™s all becoming so unrealistic now that itโ€™s borderline silly and hard to watch.

I used to love Casualty so much but Iโ€™m really losing interest now. Even Siobhanโ€™s character annoyed me in this episode and I used to really like her.

The episode put me in a really bad mood ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

I missed how last week's abused wife - Rachel ended up in hospital ?

LIZS · 30/05/2026 20:55

Whatโ€™s up with Dylan?

I think the therapy has unlocked some sort of repressed memory.

Car accident, said she drove into the central reservation

She left home.
She was driving too fast and crashed the car.

I donโ€™t know where her child was: if we were told I missed it. Perhaps they were somewhere else and she was going to collect them. The husband said there were clothes for mother and child in the bag which Jacob unfortunately brought to her in A&E while the husband was there, telling him that she was trying to leave.

LIZS · 30/05/2026 20:55

Whatโ€™s up with Dylan?

He walked out halfway through an EMDR session and seems to have been left with traumatic memories that have been partly uncovered but not fully processed, triggering flashbacks. I think from what he said to Matty that it's his own father calling him useless ๐Ÿ˜ข
