If I was a copper in Holby every time there was a crime I'd head off to A&E to question the staff about who had just reunited with a parent/child/ex then arrest the newly acquired family member. I'd have the best clean-up rate in the force.

She denied recognising Jacob though. I think that’s what makes it racist. Because she’s just seeing a black person, as if she can’t differentiate between them.
The stopping Blake wasn’t racist as she’d been told to find a black man matching his description in the area. If she’d have just decided to stop and search him randomly for no reason, then that may be seen as racist.

I frequently don't recognise people I've met before. I'm terrible with faces out of context. Nothing to do with race or sex it's all people. Bumping into DS's class teacher from the year before at a football match I had no idea who she was despite having spoken to her every school day for a year.
