last thread full and canโ€™t see a new one anywhere

About to watch last nights - sat 12th July Episode e4

MsFelicityLemon · 10/02/2026 07:33

Yes it was odd they didn't ask they little boy if there was another grown up who lived with him and his dad. Or even ask the dad when he'd come round.

purpleme12 · 10/02/2026 07:39

The way I take it is they're not going to show everything that is said or everything that they do all the time.
So we fill in the blanks. Ie for whatever reason mum wasn't in the picture

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2026 00:39

No one watch tonight ? I know Iโ€™m usually days behind but no replies ?

Melanie Hill was knocking it out of the park again in terms of her acting. She was so moving, and it was like she was causing the others to act their socks off too - in that scene at the end when she told the nurses about the rape, it felt as if they really had just heard about it for the first time and were very genuinely shocked and upset.

I don't normally like Jacob much, but I though Charles Venn was playing a blinder as well.

placemats · 15/02/2026 08:55

Agree @Internaut

Last night's episode was a good one, the theme being jumping to the wrong conclusions. A good script and the acting was superb.

MsFelicityLemon · 15/02/2026 09:58

Faith get pregnant looking very quickly. Was there supposed to be a time jump?

Was a good episode, but I'm finding Matty an irritating character.

Littletreefrog · 15/02/2026 10:44

Yes Matty is very irritating, I'm not sure if we are meant to like him or not.

I thought Jacob was as badly acted as usual. Also did he think putting on his NHS badge would get him preferential treatment with the police?

purpleme12 · 15/02/2026 10:47

I think it's fair enough that he put it on. He was highlighting how people give certain treatment depending on what they see. Unfortunately people do jump to assumptions based on what they see. And I can see why it might have helped his cause

LIZS · 15/02/2026 13:43

No episode next week

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 15/02/2026 13:50

Itโ€™s on a random break now until March 7th ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I thought the episode was very well done - and the point Jacob made about how people get profiled was a really important one. As soon as he had his NHS ID on, he was treated politely and taken seriously.

Teddyโ€™s girlfriend is a piece of work!

purpleme12 · 15/02/2026 14:15

Yes exactly

LondonLady1980 · 15/02/2026 17:39

I thought the scenes with Jacob, his son and the police woman were done really well and highlighted exactly how stereotyping plays out. I felt it was handled delicately but also highlighted a very real and important issue. The scene at the end when Blake was crying and Jacob was trying to comfort him was quite moving I thought.

It will be interesting to see what direction they take this in terms of how it will affect his relationship with Teddy, or how it will impact on the dynamic between Teddy and his GF (who appears to have recovered very well from her near death experience last week) ๐Ÿ™„

placemats · 15/02/2026 19:02

I think we've moved a few weeks on, approximately two. Obviously Faith found out about her pregnancy quite late on.

Yes agree with @LondonLady1980 that the recovery of police woman Teddy's girlfriend is quite remarkable. She may well be suffering from PTSD as Jacob did suggest.

bizzey · 15/02/2026 20:28

Not back till March 7th !

How big will Faith's bump be by then !!

She is annoying me already with all her stroking and holding of it .

Who did Ian sleep with ?

I can't remember

A woman he met in a club

FurForksSake · 15/02/2026 20:48

The racial profiling was handled well, it will be very interesting to see how that all pans out.

Agree but have to say my first thought was oh no, weโ€™re going to have weeks of Jacob drama and crap acting now.

A woman he met in a club

Thanks.
ONS ?
Still can't remember ! I need to make sure I watch when I am a bit more aware and awake ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

MsFelicityLemon · 16/02/2026 17:33

Yes, a ONS. In the previous episode, we saw her smile at him, while he was looking mean and moody at the bar, in the club. The we got a brief shot of them smooching in an up close and personal way.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/02/2026 16:19

Late to the game as always as needed to watch before tonight s

black jogger being Blake and not the mugger but I didnโ€™t see it as rascist

blake could have been more forthcoming with police if innocent and said I have nothing and show /strip

Jacob should know better then to butt in and say itโ€™s not him as heโ€™s my son

he thought as teddy gf and knew him he would get better treatment

obv she had to search him

faith bump has appeared and yes she hurt but in the words of friends - thy were on a break

Yep I'm with you on 'we are looking for a young black male' and stopping a young black male isn't racist. She was acting on a description of a suspect not carrying out a random stop.

placemats · 21/02/2026 16:46

Totally disagree with respect. She had been to Holby and already knew Jacob.

Just because you know someone and that person is a paramedic doesn't mean their son can't be a criminal and if that's all it takes for a police officer not to investigate a crime there would be a problem.

But it was Blake she stopped who she hadn't met. Then Jacob showed up. Should she at that point have gone oh he's my boyfriend's colleague's son so I'll just let him go? What would happen to her if it turn out down the line that she had stopped a mugger but let him go? Jacob seem to think that him being a paramedic meant his son couldn't possibly commit a crime despite that fact that several Holby paramedics have criminal children, parents etc.

This 100%

and tbh Blake was a bit dodgy and uncooperative
