When he waited for Samantha and Richard , when they went upstairs at that party/ hotel, just to make sure she was ok. ❤️

I only rewatched that episode the other night! Smith was so lovely.. physically & mentally.. fucking Richard 😡

greengreyblue · 01/08/2025 14:33

Just watched and enjoyed it. Yay Steve ! Farting baby mama was really funny though not funny for poor Steve and Miranda.
Dumcan has a hot body! Was not expecting that. Don’t think Carrie should have slept with him though.
Goad Herbert didn’t win and what a battle ace the MIL is. Get her out of that family home. Lisa is so saintly with her and I think that’s unrealistic . She would stand up to her.
Seema’s fall was like a comedy sketch from Father Ted . Mrs Doyle vibes. Why was she smoking out of that window when she knew that plant was special? Bit ridiculous writers! But loving their relationship and the $900 apartment!!!
Had to fast forward Antony and the sex scene.
Funny to see Susie from Curb your enthusiasm as a therapist

SJP has had work done between the series I think. Her brows are different and she looks younger.

If she has, it’s very well done. Unlike, say Jennifer Anniston. Or Kristen Davis.

Was that Mario Cantone's body double? He's in bloody good shape for 65 (or indeed 45) if it wasn't!

Lottapianos · 01/08/2025 15:03

Very enjoyable episode. Proper storylines and a bit of drama, unlike the last few awful episodes. It's almost like Aidan never existed!

Ooh Duncan is LOVELY. Well done Carrie. I wonder if he will change his mind and decide to come back to NYC. Maybe not - it would be more fun if she went back to dating rather than being attached
The Vivienne Westwood dress and crystal shoes were stunning. Loved that blue cardigan she had on too, great colour on SJP. I love how bronzed and golden she's looking this season
Not sure I bought Shteve losing his rag to that extent. Wonder how the Brady baby storyline will play out
LTW back to gorgeous outfits this week. Loved the lilac and the white
Anthony and Giuseppe always hilarious - 'don't open the door hard!' 🤣 the creepy puppet master roommate reminded me of Stanford going back to the guy's house and he had all the porcelain dolls on the bed 😯

Yes. She seems a little fuller. All over actually. Maybe she’s put a bit of weight on! Don’t they say you have to choose your bum or your face over 50!

He looked great( when I could peer out from the cushion).

Scorchio84 · 01/08/2025 15:14

Just catching up now.. Anthony answering the door to "Fireman Zac Efron" 😆(what a great ass for a man of his age!) also "I thought he worked in Whole foods not old foods"

Mia's vocal fry is maddening

I was underwhelmed by Carrie's shoe closet & I NEVER say that.. it's nothing compared to what she had previously, not in her OG apartment the one with Big

Charlotte sounds like she's wearing dentures with her weird speaking

Scramblingeggs · 01/08/2025 15:29

I have to say SJP looked incredible in the scene where she went to dinner with Patti. Her hair was blonder, longer, thicker and she looked bronzed and dewy. Not sure it's surgery maybe just a change in hair/make up?

Scorchio84 · 01/08/2025 15:37

She really does @Scramblingeggs she really suits having a more bronzed look, her hair is envy inducing! As someone who has Botox a little goes a long way & she (or her doctor) have it to a T (same with filler)

I think you're spot on. I was thinking how good she looks, and then when I saw her in the Vivienne Westwood, it looked like she's put on a few pound. Not much, but just enough. She's looking fantastic.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 01/08/2025 17:05

Ah they've just announced that this is it and there won't be a season 4.

And Just like that S3 con't (and hopefully S4) the one where we hope Carrie finally bins Aidan
sweetpickle2 · 01/08/2025 17:14

Weirdly sad, although ultimately pleased to be freed from the shackles of watching this show.

Holluschickie · 01/08/2025 17:14

Oh gosh! So Carrie will be on her own? Or will she pursue Duncan to London? The book was so shite I could barely watch.
But yes a better episode.

Poor Miranda! Brady is a walking ad for contraception and a sore disappointment. Mia was a Che type caricature. Deja vu for Miranda.
Did we need to see so much of Anthony and Gieuseppe's butts?

Also if Gieuseppe is so rich, why is he living with a creepy puppet maker?

LTW and Charlotte continue to have no storyline at all beyond serving as doormats for their families.

Totally agree. Sad and relieved!
I really hope they finish with Carrie single and dating for fun.

that was my exact reaction :)

Holluschickie · 01/08/2025 17:31

Honestly the men and the children in this show are more trouble than they are worth. I want to see a finale where the women are content with each other rather than their horrible whingy husbands and offspring.

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 01/08/2025 17:37

This week’s episode wasn’t perfect, but I did actually enjoy it.
To be honest, the SATC men haven’t always been great, but there’s something honest about Steve which I really like. It was good to have him back.
And it was good to see interaction between the three OG’s. Lisa’s character has never flown, although Seema has grown on me.
As has Duncan, and I know he was a bit cliched but after the dickhead that was Jack Berger, awful writer and post-it prick, I thought Duncan had something about him.
Two episodes to go and I’ll be glad. I’ve had glimpses of fun, but an awful lot of time coasting.
And I hate to say it…
But I still miss Big.
I still miss Big.
I still miss Big.

Holluschickie · 01/08/2025 17:41

What is the point of Herbert? At least LTW is easy on the eye.

Over40Overdating · 01/08/2025 17:45

Oh no. Feels like we’ve been teased - it finally finds the spirit of the original just in time to end! Unlike most people I’ve never missed Samantha in AJLT but this latest episode did give me a pang of wanting to see how a nearly 70 year old Sam would be living life in a era of apps and polygamy being mainstream.

Boo to you, MPK. It could have been this good all along!

Ah they've just announced that this is it and there won't be a season 4.

Ah, kind a sad but I guess it is the right thing to do. I wonder if they will to another come back in 20 years so we can catch up with them as old ladies!!

Carrie will be an mega star author, happily still wearing heels and surrounded by her cats, Miranda will have a 20 yr old grandchild that she is stressing over, where will Charlotte be?

Newgirls · 01/08/2025 18:01

I think the families and husbands are kinda realistic - like in our lives our friends husbands are add-ons that drain their time and energy 😂

Lottapianos · 01/08/2025 18:07

Much more sad than I thought I would be about no more episodes. Surely this is the VERY END for all of these characters and I've loved (most of) them for so many years so it's kind of hard to let go. Also relieved because AJLT has been mostly dire and had appalling reviews. Maybe the team just couldn't take the humiliation anymore!
