Am finding the English characters - Duncan and Joy - so one dimensional. Maybe the others are just as badly written but I don’t notice so much because I’m not American?

I'm glad Aidan's out of the picture, but Carrie was being ridiculous telling him he's not allowed on the terrace and trying to forbid him from taking to Duncan! Ffs.

See, Joy to me is low-key rather than one dimensional whereas Duncan is a weird caricature. And I have a friend who is very nearly Duncan - it's not like I don't know people like he's supposed to be. It's just all his details are wrong enough that he clangs on me the whole time.

I know. I’m talking about the fact that British people are being portrayed as posh. Duncan and now Seema’s new assistant.

Also LTW's household has a very poor storyline. Meant to be comic but reads completely disjointed.

British (English) people are always posh in US programmes (whatever genre it is that we're now watching) though. That's a default Brit. Or Daphne from Frasier and her family if you really want to make them different.

All I was thinking was omg my cats would have had those steaks swiped and eaten by the time Carrie got home!

I agree the English characters are one-dimensional, perhaps because they barely feature so we can't 'know' them yet. I don't think having these short episodes - 27 minutes this week - was a good choice.

Episode nine was another mostly forgettable one. I can't get invested in Aidan and Carrie because they're so ill-suited. The most interesting thing was the way Carrie had her hair in the last scene.

Anthony and Gia's relationship is tedious and predictable, and I get the feeling Patti LuPone's heart isn't in this really, she seems a bit underpowered or vacant. But now that Gia has threatened to financially cut off Giuseppe, I wonder if Anthony will soon get his heart broken - Giuseppe's facial expression seemed to say he's going to take the money and run.

I'm kind of glad there's only three episodes left until it finishes.

I thought Carrie was an absolute tit in this episode. How dare she police Aidan to the degree she didn’t want him even speaking to the neighbour. He’s well shot of her.

And Seema should never wear heels. She simply can’t walk in them.

Talking about Seema, what was the point of that deodorant story of hers? It’s not like it was entertaining so there must be another reason why it was written.
